Triad party photos
November 23rd, 2009 by ShaunaFree karaoke, ample food and good friends — you really can't ask for anything more. As we head into Thanksgiving, our second annual Triad Party last weekend was a reminder of how big a role our blog family plays into our lives. Thank you for those who took time out of their busy schedule to stop by and also say hello to anklebiters, who is in town for the holidays.
The Triad does these get togethers as a way to thank you — our readers — for all the support you've given us over the years. And it also gives us a chance to hopefully meet some new readers. And we did! I got to meet Creative for the first time though he and the mysterious Jack preferred to pass on the photo ops! A lurker also stopped by.
Our party was a bit smaller than usual and it made me realize just how many of The Hive members live on the Mainland or Neighbor Islands. Sounds like we really need to do more off-Oahu get togethers!
Here are some photos from the private room at Fort Street Bar & Grill, who once again graciously hosted us past the closing hour!

Thank you Shauna (and BL and Rod) for the PahTay. Always fun to see everyone and meet new people. People shouldn't BEE scared of coming out, you're all so welcoming.
Then, just when we start relaxing, Billy Idol shows up. I wonder what kine ransom I can declare on my vid. Nah, opso, you're right on. Some people would run away and BEE all shame. Not you. uh uh. Rock on. That was cool.

Cat had an emergency and had to take her mom to the hospital, but she texted me to apologize for not being able to make it. I told her that her emergency was much more important.
But she did send her aloha to everyone at the party.
Now as for the other bees (not off island) that didn't show up - tell us what it's like at the bottom of the hive...
@Creative - was nice that you came out and met everyone. Wish I had more time to talk to you.

Looked like a lot of fun at the party. Sorry I missed it. I got out of my meeting at 10pm and thought, should I go or not. Good thing I neva go. You guys would have BEEn leaving as I walked in the door.
I will not be able to make it to the next one either....bummer. I will be on Maui this weekend.
