Shoppers’ shock: high-heeled baby shoes
November 28th, 2008 by ShaunaBlack Friday, here we come! While half of you may be lounging at home finishing off those Thanksgiving leftovers, the majority will be out in force hitting the malls.
For those heading to Ala Moana Center, here's the cheat sheet going around that lists the sales and door busters. There's also a free valet coupon available.
Here's a selection of Black Friday store and mall opening times that we had in our paper:
STORES
KB Toys (Windward Mall), midnight (now for those reading it at the posting time)
The Disney Store, midnight
Wal-Mart, midnight
Armani Exchange (Ala Moana), 5 a.m.
Circuit City, 5 a.m.
KB Toys (Kahala Mall), 5 a.m.
Macy’s, 5 a.m.
Sears, 5 a.m.
Toys “R” Us, 5 a.m.
The Children’s Place, 5 a.m.
Kmart, 6 a.m.
MALLS*
Waikele Premium Outlets, midnight
Ala Moana Center, 6 a.m.
Pearlridge Center, 6 a.m.
Windward Mall, 6 a.m.
Kahala Mall, 9 a.m.
Ward Centers, 9 a.m.
*Opening times are for most stores
Good luck fighting the crowds and getting those must-have gifts. Let me know what kind of ODD gadgets, toys or other items you see. Gotta find something to top this unique for-looks-only baby high heels...
Mothers not fans of high-heeled baby shoes
UPI
LONDON — Some British mothers say they were not pleased to learn that a U.S. company created a new brand of high-heeled shoes designed for infants.
Mother-of-one Katharine Fey said the new shoes from the company, Heelarious, are too adult for babies due to the overt sexual nature of the feminine fashion item, The Daily Mail said Wednesday.
"These shoes are completely inappropriate and unnecessary for babies," the 32-year-old mother said. "Infants have very soft bones at that age and their feet are still growing. They shouldn't be wearing shoes anyway, let alone something this overtly sexual."

Mother-of-two Claire Aldwood agreed, saying the products being sold in Britain by Julia Taylor are wholly inappropriate.
"They're making them look like little women — and loose little women at that," she said of the shoes' impact on infants.

The Mail said Taylor is selling the baby shoes online at the Web site, Heels for Her, and they are available in leopard and zebra print for $30 a pair.
-----
What is your Black Friday strategy? Do you map out your plan of which stores to hit first — the most popular one that will likely sell out of that hit item, the shops with the best deals or the one closest to where you found parking?
Did you do research online to compare prices before hitting the stores and fighting the crowds?
So where did you shop at today? Go anywhere at midnight? Did you have to wait in line?
Did today complete most of your Christmas shopping? How much did you spend? Was that within your budget?
-----
Lucky comment numbers for today (besides #1, #88 and #100): #37 and #111

Some "genius" planned our daughter's birthday dinner for Ala Moana Tanaka of Tokyo. I hate crowds and shopping. I usually don't do much shopping from middle of November through January.
November 28th, 2008 at 12:09 am
Oops tmi. Hope I don't have to change names again.
November 28th, 2008 at 12:13 am
Yay ukuhead, You #1 and 2 and 3
November 28th, 2008 at 12:14 am
No I not going shopping. Well, not that I know of.
November 28th, 2008 at 12:23 am
Morning!
Ukuhead: Of all places to go on Black Friday! Good luck finding parking!
Ynaku: He took #1, #2 and #3, but you can BEE #37! Enjoy your day and keep protecting your tools!
November 28th, 2008 at 12:24 am
ukuhead: haha. oh oh, no get "busted" here!
wow, okay i'm a huge fan of females in high heels (can't stand slippers and those gladiator type sandles...flats are even worse!) but geez, there's no way in hell i would dress up an infant in these! wtf?!?!?! don't they know it's supposed to be OPEN TOES? nah nah NAH! just kidding. this is pretty bad...*sigh* what's next?!?!
November 28th, 2008 at 12:27 am
3 more hours till work! gaah, not looking forward to it........i better brew my coffee extra delicious and decadent today.
November 28th, 2008 at 12:34 am
High heel is a bit much, but boots with the fur???
November 28th, 2008 at 12:36 am
Good Morning All!!
My Black Friday strategy is to research the ads, find what I like and then call my friends to see who is going to what store and tell them to get that for me and I pay them back later.
Not my fault they actually ENJOY doing the Black Friday thing.
So far I have completed ZERO Christmas shopping. Looks like I'll need to spend less time here in the Hive and more time at the malls.
November 28th, 2008 at 12:43 am
Getting old. Gotta go sleep.
Good night all,
November 28th, 2008 at 1:06 am
Good Morning Hive!
Wow, I was AFK all day! That must BEE a new record for me.
Time to check out the ads I never get in the paper today! That dang Maui News! They didn't insert my Lowe's and Wal-Mart ads! Dirty buggahs!!
Not blown away by this year's sales. Time to scope out Rodney's blog for the specials!
Oh, and those high heels for the babies are just wrong. Little babies are not supposed to wear CFM shoes. That should BEE illegal.
November 28th, 2008 at 1:09 am
Aigoo! I'm under moderation!
What did I say now?
Was I away from the blog too long?
November 28th, 2008 at 1:39 am
BF: they saw your picture of your "teets" das why. hahaha.
(crap, now i going BEE under moderation!)
November 28th, 2008 at 1:59 am
@HSiB - hmm... you may BEE right.
Hehe, I actually ordered a new set of teet', cause the putty in the old set don't fit quite right. I guess after I got my wisdoms out (only like 2 years ago) my teeth started to move, so I either gotta replace the putty or get new teet'. So I did both. hehehe I go bus' out the new set for the next party.
So, I saw that video of Shauna. How come she not shame make that, but when had the live webcam of the newsroom on election night she didn't want to walk past it and wave? WW- uh, I mean, How ODD!!
November 28th, 2008 at 2:06 am
ok, off to work soon. peace out hive! hopefully i survive the next 21 hours of black friday!
November 28th, 2008 at 2:17 am
@HSiB - Geez louise, what kinda work requires you there at this time of the morning? You make donuts for a living? WW-- uh, I mean, how ODD!
November 28th, 2008 at 3:24 am
Banana's alive!!! Yay!! Grind too much yesterday, wen pass out quick no? My Black Friday strategy, sleep in and shop on line later. Malls at Xmas time.... HELL NO!!! You nuts or what?!
November 28th, 2008 at 3:39 am
I guess I da only drunk guy up at dis ungodly hour so I might as well sleep it off den. I taut maybe me and Banana (da ODDa Maui boy) could keep dis buggah goin for awhile. Guess later on still ok. Shoots den....
November 28th, 2008 at 3:48 am
@Shizah - I stay, but I not drunk. Danger when I drunk and post.
Just woke up from my "nap" at the keyboard. I almost posted a "nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" from my forehead resting on the keyboard. Good thing I never short that buggah out with my drool too.
Almost time to wake up for realz, and hit da malls! Yes, I nuts I guess.
November 28th, 2008 at 6:07 am
GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS TIME...........I got $5 in dis puter for 25 minutes of pure unadulterated FUN! Well.......already to get HERE I have 20 minutes and 40 seconds left. I think this is like a TAXI or something whereby you tell the puter "I wanna go to Queenie's blog" and they take the LONG WAY OVER THERE.
So I wake up at 4:30 a.m. and need to get $........go to a FHB branch and hit the bank machine. Looking OVER MY SHOULDERS CONSTANTLY as I don't want any Kauai moke to hit me over da head after I get my $20.......
That went okay.
Then go over to Starbucks to get my "fix" for the day.............CLOSED!
I look at the door and the sign says "Open at 5:30 a.m." WWD!!!!!! (Sorry Queenie, but I need my CAFFEINE!)
Go over to SAFEWAY.................CLOSED.
FOODLAND......................CLOSED.
What's up with this island??????????? or rather I should say "Why isn't ANYONE UP on this island???????????
Just wanted to check in and wish all you guys fighting the "Black Friday" crowd "Good Luck...........you're kookoo". Especially YOU Banana!
I'm gonna finish my 14 minutes of puter time checking e-mail and what's going on in the world..........and then get some "JOE".
Today's destination, Kilauea Lighthouse. I'm gonna look for MOBY DOVE's muddah.
OL..........playing TOURIST
November 28th, 2008 at 6:25 am
Black Friday plans are to stay the heck away from and shopping mall. The bad thing about this is that most of the movies theaters are tied into the malls so I can't go to the movies either. Just stay home and play rock band with the little guy.
November 28th, 2008 at 8:06 am
Morning QB, Musketeer's, BBD's and newBee's

See you dea
November 28th, 2008 at 8:46 am
Good (i think?) Morning!
now tell me i'm not the only one who feels like a blimp today. i had to find a "big" shirt to wear to work because after all the food at yesterday's festivities i feel like i just outgrew my jeans...so i had to find a shirt to hide the fact that i feel like i outgrew my jeans. haha
actually, i'm amazed at the fact that i'm not in a food coma, and still can't figure out how i managed to roll myself to work...with my container of leftovers for lunch of course
now onto the topic at hand...WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND PUTS HEELS ON A BABY?!?! i read about this a little while back and oh dear
while i don't think they're appropriate for babies, i also can't say that i agree with those women saying it makes babies look like "loose little women" geez that's a little extreme no? either way, baby or grown up, i wouldn't wear animal print shoes...just not my cup of tea.
November 28th, 2008 at 8:49 am
grah! i'm in moderation
it's ok, the important stuff is in this post!
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to my fellow musketeer snow and our resident party planner NKHEA!!!! hope you both had wonderful days with many more to come!
OL i hear ya about Kauai...sometimes seems like no one on the island wakes up before 8am ah? haha it's a great place tho...i love going there! and best of luck finding MOBY DOVE's mama.
November 28th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Happy Post Turkey day!!
I hope everyone had a great day and ate way too much. I know I did kinda amazing I made it to work.
As for the infant high heels, THAT'S SO WRONG!!! Don't get me wrong I like a woman in heels and well dressed, but SHE'S A WOMAN!! I all for the cute baby fashions and stuff like that.
Anyway for anyone out in Kahala on Sat come check out me and NEO. We are going to be playing with the Honolulu Community Concert Band at 4 PM at the mall.
Have a great day all.
myama99 (wondering what I'm gonna do at work today)
November 28th, 2008 at 9:09 am
g'morning Hivers!!
i guess going BEE kinda slow today cause everybody stay out shopping. those brave souls i tell ya.
i'm right where i want to bee on this.....and every black friday for that matter.....no wheres close to any store or mall.
whoa.....now those are the epitome of kitten heels! bwahahaha!!!
November 28th, 2008 at 10:03 am
Just went to Kahala mall and it was empty...wait! I meant to say I know somebody who went there (because I'm still at work
) and told me that it was empty, at least at Barnes and Nobles.
November 28th, 2008 at 10:03 am
I'm one of the few actually working today. This is the one day of the year where us G men are actually jealous of private sector people. Oh well, I gotta run around downtown for work, so at least I'll be out and about. I'm what they call the go-to guy in the office. That translates to: give it to Scott, he knows downtown/Waianae/windward side better than me, and he likes to get out of the office. Better than sitting at my desk.
November 28th, 2008 at 10:11 am
OMFG, you've got to be kidding me!!! Infant high heels?!?!?! What next a thong for a zygote?
November 28th, 2008 at 10:15 am
Morning All,
Don't know what happened to my 1st post this morning must be in moderation I guess.
Anywho, Scott I feel your pain. At least we don't work retail. (Been there, done that. got the bruises)
myama99 (is it lunch yet?)
November 28th, 2008 at 10:19 am
On a more serious but somewhat related note... My condolences to the family of the Walmart employee who was trampled TO DEATH by the angry mob of people who were trying to get in for the doorbuster sales... I can't imagine that, the day after Thanksgiving, dying at the hands of people who are after that great bargain, or that new PS3... It's a sad commentary on life when people DIE for stuff like that. it's pathetic to think that our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen are fighting and dying the REAL fight, and someone back home, just trying to do his job is killed by people he probably knew, who were looking to save a quick buck or two. I'm almost ashamed... Sorry I didn't mean to put a damper on everyone's holiday spirit, but I think it's more important to just be grateful for what we have. I always try to take my time around the holidays... Try not to curse or swear too much, and remember the real reason behind Christmas...
Happy Holidays Everyone!
NEO
November 28th, 2008 at 10:28 am
You got that right NEO. Talk about FUBAR. But the sad thing is, that it seem to me that you almost expect it. I mean that every year, someone get seriously hurt or something because of dumb people who bum rush the store. I never could understand it even when I worked Black Friday.
Anyway, on a happier note, If any of the Hive is out in Kahala on tomorrow, just a reminder that NEO & I are playing at Kahala Mall with the Community Concert Band at 4 PM.
Happy Friday,
myama99 (It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas...)
November 28th, 2008 at 10:56 am
OMG NEO i just read that article too! and right after i got back form a jaunt to walmart
i think it's ridiculous to be so eager-beaver (not unlike Barry) just to get a bargain. i mean, i'm all about saving when i can and getting good deals but c'mon man! working retail on Black Friday is quite intimidating just thinking about it
hmm slow today QB is at home sleeping off the turkey & pumpkin pie from yesterday huh? boo.
November 28th, 2008 at 10:56 am
Good MOrning All,
No I didn't go shopping. But that drink last night knocked me out (actually 3 stiff concoctions. And no one to blame cause I made the last 2
)
Going to the dump since they were closed yesterday. Wife tossing plenny stuff while she looking for stuff for sell. So far Tolls safe. I SAID SO FAR
BEE back laters
November 28th, 2008 at 10:57 am
@ opso kitten heels!!!
rrrwowrrr!!
hahaha. that's just wrong.
November 28th, 2008 at 11:24 am
Wassup Hive!
Back from hitting the malls. Was kinda crazy, but I bet nowhere near the level of insanity of any place on Oahu.
Went to surf shop @6:00 to get a new Da Kine suitcase. Score! 35% off!
Hit a bunch of other stores BEEfore braving the brain damage that is Wal-Mart. OMG, that place was a zoo. I shouldn't have gone that early. Utter madness. The stuff I wanted was gone already, well, it WAS 7:00, so I guess I shouldn't have BEEn surprised. $2 dvds! Yeah!
Had plenty of those. Score! Lotsa grab bag prizes there.
Hit Home Depot, then Lowes. Then Office Max. Perused Borders for a while. Found more gifts. I think I did pretty good.
Quite exhausted now. I didn't see anything too ODD. Well, not for sale anyways. I saw some ODD people though.
I think if I took pictures of them, they might get mad.
@OL - come Maui next time. At least our stores open early. Even get 24 hour kine too. See, we not that country.
Well, not ALL of Maui is that country.
November 28th, 2008 at 11:32 am
Happy Belated Birthday NKHEA! Hope you had a great birthday!
Hope all you BBDs, honeyBEEs, newBEEs and musketeers had a nice Thanksgiving! Thank you for all the thoughtful birthday wishes (and, darn... did I miss out on a day of no tormenting from BananaFysh?
Can I get a raincheck???!)!! I had a nice day, even if I "had" to eat turkey (at least there was no turkey cake!)! I don't know why Thankgiving always tuckers me out (beyond the fact that I ate turkey and ate too much in general!) - I always end up being very tired at the end of the day! Heck, I even fell asleep during the ride home from my sister's house! And, I always wonder why I didn't take the day off from work! *looking at the clock and wondering when I can go home!*
NEO - I haven't had a chance to read that article yet but that is crazy!! Very sad statement about society. How very sad for the family - condolences to them!! I used to work in retail, too... and some people get so riled up over sales, especially on Black Friday or the day after Christmas.
And about the shoes... I think they are kind of funny, though a kind of sad statement about our society today! LOL @ opso re: kitten heels! Yikes, no rrrwowrrr-ing for these ones I hope!!
*Wondering if I should go shopping tonight*
November 28th, 2008 at 11:34 am
Back at the office now, damn it's hot and muggy outside. Hawaii, November, this ain't right. Last night we had drinks under the Banyan tree at the Moana Surfrider, great place for drinks and music. A couple of 7 and 7's and I'm a happy boy.
November 28th, 2008 at 11:43 am
munch - yeah....was YOU eh dat when bring up kitten heels? i still gotta *snort snort* shmall kine when i think about it.

BF - whaaat? you pau shop already? get back out there sir.....the day is still young! ;D
you neva wear your teet so you could walk around unobstructed?
November 28th, 2008 at 11:55 am
37?
November 28th, 2008 at 11:56 am
DAMN I'M GOOD!!!
November 28th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
@opso - I think I pau for today. I know still get plenny deals to BEE had, but I need to recharge the batteries.
A 4 hour nap would do wonders for me right about now. Man, I never get 4 hours last night.
MayBEE I go look for some online deals now.
And no, I never wear the teet' out. I think I saw some peeps at Wal-Mart with their teet' like dat FOR REALS!
Nah, I think I go bus' out the tree from storage today. Now dat pau Thanksgiving, can start the X-mas festivities.
Ho bay, dat buggah is heavy. I got a steal on that tree. 9' pre-lit for like $40 after X-mas one year. I bought um like a week after X-mas too, at Home Depot. I BEE a shopper, baby.
@NEO - I hate to burst your bubble, dude, but I can see my comment under moderation, and going bump your #37 post. But mayBEE you going get lucky, and your earlier post might wind up at #37. That would BEE pretty slick.
November 28th, 2008 at 1:31 pm
Just got back from a trip into Waikiki so my mom could drop off a few things at her friends store....not much traffic today. We ate lunch at 99 Mkt....duck noodle soup....mmmmmmm....
Anyone pick up any bargain this early AM?
November 28th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
@NEO - I just read that article you referenced about the trampled worker at Wal-Mart. That's just sick. And then a shooting in a Toys r Us? WTH is going on here? Man, these peeps need to chill out, and remember what the holidays are all about.
When I was in Wal-Mart this morning, it was crazy busy, but I didn't see any full-on hostile behavior. I dunno, mayBEE it was there first thing in the AM, but when I was there people were pretty chill. I mean, no snatching items out of other people's wagons or crazy stuff like that. Generally there was a feeling of courteousness, and I didn't see any overtly rude people.
Sheesh, how does a mob trample a worker, and not one person help them up? Crazy. They should review the security tapes, and charge someone with manslaughter, at the very least.
I've been in many a crazy mosh pit in my day, and whenever someone goes down, a little pocket forms, and SOMEBODY helps the fallen to their feet. Sheesh, more love in the pit than in Wal Mart. WWD?!?!?
November 28th, 2008 at 1:43 pm

I remember the time we were at a COW music event during the holidays....they were dropping prizes from the ceiling and there were a mass of bodies on the dance floor. Had a heck of a time trying to keep me and ex from being squished like pumpkin seeds....not a good feeling
November 28th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
shoot! i didn't know my earlier comment was awaiting moderation and i didn't even say anything remotely bad! so excuse me while i type out a bunch of shorter comments (ala BananaFysh)!
November 28th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
okay, that worked! yay!
hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving! happy belated birthday to nkhea (and now i'm only one day younger?
)! thank you for the thoughtful birthday wishes!!
November 28th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
seems like the stores might not be too busy today - macy's morning specials were still going to be honored until 3 pm, instead of 1 pm. we went shopping on the night before thankgiving and macy's morning specials (for this morning) were already on! the saleperson told me that they start the morning specials at 5 pm the night before for hawaii (not sure if that is only for their thanksgiving sale, though!) anyway, we were lucky - no crowds, all the stock was still neat and not picked-through, and there were some good bargains!
November 28th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
ospo - see, get planny november babies, yeah? i wonder if that has anything to do with our senses of humor? ha ha!
November 28th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
You know, and someone out there will make the comment "man it's a warzone out there..." You can't make that comment... At least I don't think you can... A warzone is what our people overseas are in... and if the people don't have a common courtesy and decency to help a fallen worker up, if the people are willing to place their petty materialistic gains ahead of the sanctity of human life... well then I'm ashamed... This is not to say that I don't enjoy shopping... I'll be the first to admit that... But never EVER at the expense of someone's LIFE... That's what happened today. I'm sorry I'm still on this whole trampling and shooting thing, but it's just starting to bother me... I mean come on people...
Sorry if I offended anyone or if anyone wants me to STFU about it already...
NEO
November 28th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
@snow - hey sistah! Hope you had a good birthday! Now you can go rent a car now, since you just made 25.
Yeah, lots of November babies. Interesting. Lots of July babies too in this blog. hmmmm
@anklebiters - See, no good comes from listening to COW music.
You pick up the new Dido cd yet? I'm waiting for a better sale.
Too expensive right now.
November 28th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
BF:
I HATE COW MUSIC.....I'm sorry but it's the most depressing songs in the world...I'd rather listen to classical music than country.
I may wait till I get home to buy the Dido cd...
November 28th, 2008 at 2:23 pm
High heels for babies? Boots with the fur? No way, man. That's just too much!
NEO: Nice job! I don't know which is the BEEgger challenge: Braving the crowds at Ala Moana or braving the hive to hit the lucky comment number!
November 28th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
@NEO - you are right on point.
I hate watching sports and hearing comments about "going to war" and how "it's like going into combat" for these athletes. Please, get real. They have no clue.
I totally agree with you about the fallen worker. Man, are they a bunch of animals in New York? Can't they see a fellow human being has fallen, and is injured? What is wrong with some of those people? And then they don't want to leave the store? That just makes me sad.
That's why, for me, the Triad part was so uplifting. Many of us had never met face to face, yet it was like a reunion of old friends, once we got over the initial "feeling out" period. Once you start talking, you realize that we are much closer that we imagined. There were far less than 6 degrees of separation, and knowing that puts life in a different perspective. You CANNOT act out anyway you want, because we are connected fairly close. Well, if you do, prepare to BEE smacked down by that aunty that knows everything.
I think people have just grown so disconnected to each other, it's easy for them to see things in terms of "us vs. them," and just not care about how their actions impact another person. More so on the mainland than here, but it's starting to happen here too.
I dunno, I try to "live aloha," cause you just never know who that person is behind that other steering wheel, or that buggah who grabbed that last pair of jeans in your size off the shelf.
November 28th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
BF:
Was that ? Sorry about the jeans
November 28th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
@anklebiters - I seriously doubt we take the same sized jeans.
You never gain THAT much weight on vacation. HA!
November 28th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
I think that Walmart death can be attributed to a certain part of the country, certain mindset, certain level of poverty, which was fueled by the fire of consumerism on this Black Friday. Yes, here that wouldn't happen. On larger cities on the mainland I have seen some violent and ugly public outbursts with fists, weapons, words. I was randomly attacked in 2002 in London, and was lucky to run faster than the other guy, after he socked me in the mouth. Here, I can't imagine that kind of thing happening. If it does, it's almost always contained to a certain group, gang type, or retaliation. Not purely random.
Ok, I'll stop. Cheery topic day! Yeah! 2.5 more hours til I can walk the dogs and drink a cold one x6.
November 28th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
They need to choke the person who came up with the stupid high heels for kids and anybody who buys it for their kids. If you want dress, up don't use your kids or your pets. Do it to yourself or buy a doll. Putting high heels on a child who is developing is similar to placing a blindfold or ear plugs on them. STUPID!!!! That's my rant for the day.
November 28th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
Whoa! All kinds of posts came out of moderation!
Does that mean Queenie is around?
BEE quiet everyone! Act normal!
She's back.
November 28th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
BananaFysh - woohoo! yeah, now i can rent a car now that i'm an awesome 25 years old (hey, wait... bamboohouse808 said i was 21?! so confusing, this kine! lol... )! ahhh, 25x2 is closer (but, i not dea YET!)... and i'm glad to be where i'm at in my life! rental cars, TRIAD and all...
lol @ anklebiters and BananaFysh bout the jeans! hee hee hee...

Ynaku; keep forgeting to ask you, do you know a Dennis E. He just retired about a year ago, he used to live in Hilo few years ago but now in Kona. Still has family in Hilo. Was with Hawaiian Tel for long time, little older den us.
November 28th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
Eh, I just noticed I'm #37!
Sorry, NEO.
Who's your daddy?!?!?
nah nah, KIDDING!
@snow - Yeah, go aout and rent your self a car! w00t!!
Oh, you said you wanted a rain check for more tormenting? Is that right? Okay, will do.
I will apply the rain check right away.
November 28th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
ospo - i mean OPSO - so sorry! too much turkey made me dyslexic!! november babies have an ODD sense of humor? maybe that's because we're trying to keep up with the early borns so we use our humor to throw everybody off!!! ha ha! i dunno about the july babies that banana mentioned... maybe they just thrown off 'cause they stay in the middle!??
bananafysh - hey! you know i wanted the rain check my birthday gift from you! ha ha ha!
November 28th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
Just back from shopping. I'm exhausted but got lots done. Started off at Kahala mall which was kinda dead. Gamestop was already out of the stuff we were looking for. Picked up a couple of stuff for Da boy at Macy's then headed to Ala's. Walked thru Nordy's which was not too crowded than went to check Gamestop. Bought a bunch of stuff from Macy's for Da boy, Da girl and myself. Macy's was pretty crowded. Stopped at NM to use the bathroom and look at the bacon chocolate bars then headed to Ward Center. Had lunch at the Gomatei and had some yummy tan tan ramen. Bought stuff at the Crazy shirt outlet then went back to Kahala since Gamestop was suppose to get a shipment of the Wii fit, unfortunatly it did not cum in yet. Went to Macy's again and picked up some stuff for myself then Discovery toys to get a 5 sided Rubix cube for Da boy. We left the house at 7:30 and just got home now at 3:30, an 8 hour day. Tiring but beats going to work!
We skipped the early Walmart thing this year and I don't miss it. Its so sad about the worker that got trampled to death....but I can believe how it can happen, in past years it gets wild at that moment they open the shrink wrap on the sale items, at that moment everyone is pushing and shoving than it usually calms down a little. Once I had stood in front of a pile of I Dogs for an hour and at sale time I got pushed into the stack, I somehow made it out of there with some.
As far as strategy I check the ads the night before and make a plan of where to go. Once at the store I do the grabbing than hand stuff to M so I have two free hands to shop with. At Macy's when it comes time to pay we usually go to a different department with a shorter line. Also Macy's has those coupons so I figure out which one is the best to use, sometimes when using two coupons I have M stand in line behind me and pay for some of the stuff.
Tomorrow I have to make a Costco run to pick up some baking ingredients and maybe hit the Craft fair at Blaisdell.
November 28th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
Ohh did it get 69?
November 28th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
ohh got it!!!!! LOL Oh a odd thing did happen to me today...there was a long line of people near the center stage at Ala's so I asked someone what was the line for...She told me they were waiting in line to go on stage and dance and told me I could join them.....ummm I don't think so.....
November 28th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
NKHEA: So you wanna remind everyone again that some folks are meeting up at Side Street at 4 or 5 p.m. today??
Also, we didn't get a winner for tonight's UH women's volleyball tickets yet. It's Senior Night. Anyone interested? Game is at 7 p.m. You can swing by The Advertiser to pick up the tickets BEEfore you head to Stan Sheriff Center...
November 28th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
@snow - eh, no make to much fun of the July babies. Somebody stay watching... another July baby.
Oh, so what, you want another day free of tormenting? Aigoo! Let me put in my teet' and think about it.

Still thinking.

November 28th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
Wow, Masako-san, you too good. #1, you're braver than me to go hard-core shopping on Black Friday. #2, you had a plan and were efficient. (Bowing to Masako-san.)
Anklebiters: I like cow music: literally. One of the funnier Christmas carols I heard was "Silent Night" with cows mooing the melody. Not the lyrics, but the melody.
Everybody, have fun @ Side Street tonight!
November 28th, 2008 at 4:47 pm
@ NKHEA I know one Umeno. HIm?
November 28th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
@Masako - wow, that's some hardcore shopping action!
I walked past our Gamestop and said forget it. It was packed. Not like I needed anything anyways. The guys who like games as gifts always buy the latest games for themselves.
VERY difficult to buy stuff for them. I just go gift card usually.
@OL - So, what's for dinner?
BEEsides fut?
@Shauna - So how was your Black Friday?
November 28th, 2008 at 4:52 pm
DOne cleaning one closet. Tomorrow doing the storage shed.
I'm BEAT!
November 28th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
@Ynaku - Main thing, you protect those tools!
Why women want take tools?! Man need tools! Need tools for make cave!
November 28th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
@Masako-69 was yesterdays lucky number. You're talking about lucky numbers right?
@Shauna-How do you get the lucky comment number? Are you pulling them out of your a#%? (air)
November 28th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
ukuhead, I don't think she was referring to lucky numbers....
November 28th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
69 is always a "lucky number"
November 28th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
I'd also like to know the "logic" BEEhind these "lucky numbers."
So, we get something BEEsides kudos for hitting them? Or is it an ongoing tally, and then we can cash them in for drinks at the next Triad Blog party?
Hm, if that happens, I think Queenie might set all the lucky numbers in the thousands.
November 28th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Okay, wahine going to play in a couple hours. Let's cheer them on and hope they don't play lousy like the last time. It's the senior's special night and the four women deserve our best support!!!!
November 28th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
Hi hi everyone! Sorry I'm coming on so late!! Always so much stuff to do.
Regarding lucky numbers, it was just something to do for fun. Since #100 started BEEcoming the new #1 and then we learned #88 was another special number for us, we saw excitement for hitting that number. Then I decided to add in a few others just to make them a bit more random. It happened to BEE on the day I got those free UH tickets. So those lucky numbers BEEcame winners.
But for the most part these "lucky numbers" is just another thing to do for fun... But mayBEE BananaFysh has a point and we somehow can keep a tally that will come in useful one day... BF: Can you start the spreadsheet, please?
November 28th, 2008 at 5:52 pm
honda si boy: What? You don't like those little high heels? Thought you'd BEE the first to snap those up if they were done by Gucci!
Tell us how crazy it was at the mall this morning!!
Ukuhead: Boots with the furrr? Yeah, they should make those so the baby feet stay nice and warm! LOL! Have fun at dinner tonight!!
bamboohouse808: You call your friends and ask them to pick up something for you?!?! How terrible!
So i gotta ask, do you call and make small talk BEEfore slyly dropping the hint that you need something or you just come right out and ask?
BananaFysh: What are CFM shoes?? And I can't BEElieve you didn't get the ad inserts in your Maui paper! Of all days, this is when it really matters!! Did you call circulation to complain?
BTW, don't know why that post went into moderation. And you are so on it... you noticed when those posts came out of moderation. Haha!
November 28th, 2008 at 5:53 pm
BF, you bad boy.
#12 probably got moderated for ⊂FM. I haven't heard that term in a long time.
I'd like to know the "logic" behind what gets tossed into moderation. Aside from the obvious curse words, I think Αsshat and kangar00 are on the no-no list.
November 28th, 2008 at 5:59 pm
Rodney: How did you get that picture from Waikele?? Is that a Twitter feature?
Shizah: So you manage to avoid the malls during the WHOLE holiday season?!?! That seems so unBEElievable!! MayBEE if you were living on Kauai where there doesn't seem to BEE many options...
Ocean Lover: Thanks for another Kauai update! I can't BEElieve (oh no, it's that phrase again!) so many places are closed!! That's how I feel when I leave town and I'm out in the "country" on the weekends! Haha! Kidding! So tell us more, tell us more! Did you find MOBY DOVE’s muddah?? We are just dying to know!
November 28th, 2008 at 6:12 pm
The Dork Knight: Hey there! If you waited a few more minutes you would've BEEn #88, IF you even care.
Yeah, we need all you computer guys to figure out what keywords result in moderation... munch's #24 and snow's #38 also went into moderation... And you know what CFM stands for also??
BananaFysh: Regarding the video vs. webcam, do you think I have time to go cavorting across the newsroom to wave hello to you?
I was busy writing to you on here!!
Plus, you know what they say when opportunity knocks... invite it to stay for dinner. That's why I did my turkey-day video at the last minute despite not looking as sweet as I normally would in photos.
BTW, eat anything ODD yet? Come on! Your deadline passed!
November 28th, 2008 at 6:20 pm
@Shauna - Heeeelllllo there Queenie!
re: The numbers - what?! You want me to keep track? That's the kind of thing an intern is supposed to do, huh? *ahem*
re: The Webcam. - Of course you have time to cavort across the newsroom to wave hello to your adoring fans!
Just make like you're going to the bathroom , and then you cavort cavort cavort cavort cavort across the room, right in front of the webcam! How easy!
Oh, sorry, didn't eat anything ODD yet. Hm, by what benchmark are we measuring ODD? Yours? If so, I had seared ahi last night...
November 28th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
Teejay: I guess you didn't want to watch the game live? Oh well, at least I'll hopefully have your company online! So you're also the type that avoids the malls? How do you do your Christmas shopping?
munch: I can BEE your twin blimp!! Ate too much bad food yesterday. Oops, in fact I'm eating a piece of yummy pumpkin-apple pie right now. I'm doing this BEEfore dinner also!! Bad me!!
And yeah, I don't think I would wear animal-print heels also... Not my style. MayBEE if I were an animal swinging around a pole that would BEE a different story, right?
myama99: Yeah, there are so many cute baby fashions that you don't really need those heels! (We need to discuss for a possible future post on spending the money on name-brand baby clothes or go the Wal-Mart route...) Then again, most babies don't even walk so those heels really can't do any damage... Thanks for the performance update! Great to get some shopping in at the same time! Of course we don't know what you or NEO look like since you MISSED that party and you won't know if any of The Hive is there. Unless you recognize them by their pictures...
November 28th, 2008 at 6:34 pm
88? I guess I haven't been paying attention.
I'll let BF explain ⊂FM.
Time to go shopping and pick over the bones.
November 28th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
BananaFysh: My, you are one intern who catches on fast!! Good job!
So that's how I cavort? OK, cavort cavort cavort I shall do.
And oh my gosh, seared ahi?? What sea did you catch that in?? How do you cook it? Wait, you don't cook that cause it's seared, right? So is it clean when you eat?!?!
But the biggest question: WHY would you even want to eat THAT?!?
NEO: Regarding that Wal-Mart story, that was the first headline that caught my eye when I got to work... I couldn't BEElieve what happened to that poor guy. As usual, you found the right words to express your outrage at the absurdity of it all. The story went on to say that when the store had to close to investigate, people were upset because they said they had waited in line from the day BEEfore!! His poor family. What a way to start the holiday season.
munch: I went to Wal-Mart today also!! Wonder if we could've run into each other?
Loved your non-reference to Barry (the Beaver)!
November 28th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
@Shauna - Hey wait, how'd I BEEcome an intern? When did that happen?
Oh, that's just one method of cavorting. You can adopt whatever method you like.
I didn't prepare the seared ahi. And yes, it IS cooked. Fast kine on the outside, and the inside still raw. So awesome.
You really should try it, choosy girl.
Or not. More for me, if you don't want any.
Hey! Shout out for Barry! Yes!
November 28th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
Shauna: Gift cards are my friend.
November 28th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
Time for dinner! Leftover turkey! Whoo-hoo!
BEE back later!
You BEE good now, Queenie!
November 28th, 2008 at 6:53 pm
Oh wait, didn't realize we were so close to the new #1
November 28th, 2008 at 6:53 pm
I can stick around for a little bit
November 28th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
Just to get us to the next level
November 28th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
I'm not 37 anymore... BOOHOO!!! Thanks for the compliment about my writing, but I just write from the heart... I was outraged, but then I started to feel sorry for those people... I mean it's obvious that they don't value human life, and that's definitely something to feel bad about... I feel worst for the guy's family, he was a temp. worker, probably just trying to get some "kozukai" money for gifts for his friends and family, and now they'll use that money to put him into the ground... Sorry for being so morbid, but it's just so absurd. I need to get over it... and I will, thanks to all of you guys for helping me keep my sanity, and for letting me laugh, cry, yell, and whisper with all of you. I <3 U guys!!!
NEO
November 28th, 2008 at 6:54 pm

November 28th, 2008 at 6:57 pm

rrrwowrrr!! So what kind of Black Friday deals did you find online?
Scott: It is good to get out of the office to do work while on work time!! Lucky you! And didn't the Moana Surfrider recently undergo renovations? I gotta check that place out soon!
Ynaku: Yay! The tools are still safe! Keep your eye on them until the final day though!!
BananaFysh: Wow. You got the $2 DVDs at Wal-Mart? I got there after 11 so the deal was already over. There was no sign on what the cost was after 11! Grr...
UH winning so far, but barely! 5-4...
November 28th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
Still time.............MOBY DOVE cousins-pretty.......whales flipping "da bird".....turtles......@ Kilauea Lighthouse....damn kid hogcheese telescope......wanna punch him......not "da boy"....
November 28th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
What I like about Dani Mafua is that she get's the whole team involved. She doesn't just set the outside hitters. The middles and even the backrow players get plays.
November 28th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
You can tell the girls are playing better tonight. They're playing for their sisters on the team. Great to see.
November 28th, 2008 at 7:45 pm
Ocean Lover: Are you wasting precious minutes scrolling down?
Hope you have fun at dinner! Yay, you saw MOBY DOVE's cousins! Hope you snapped pictures so we can compare!! We will keep you posted on the game tonight!
NEO: Of course you can join us! Can you whip us up some salsa to go with our chips? We can go HOT HOT HOT!
Teejay: I'm cheering with you!!
Scott: Hah! Your numbers got a bit off! Did you get some shopping in after work?

OL: bring home some Kauai specials. They still get that saimin store?
November 28th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
Just turned it on. Had to go some where really fast.
November 28th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
Teejay: I guess the score is reflecting their better play than the other night, yeah? And congrats on #111!
November 28th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
Is the wide angle camera on the opposite side tonight? I remember always seeing the bench from the reverse angle.
November 28th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
Hawaii wins game one 25-17!!!
November 28th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
snow: So did you decide to go shopping tonight? MayBEE the crowds will have died down already... That's interesting that Macy's extended their morning specials. I guess retailers are really trying to get as many sales as they can. I was at Costco this morning and was kinda disappointed. I remember seeing better deals in the past. It irks me when the the price of the item is raised and they offer a coupon that doesn't really give you much savings in the end. Don't think we don't know!!
UH wins game one!!! 25-17!
November 28th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
Hot salsa comin' up!
November 28th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
Ocean Lover - Note to self.......do NOT order onion rings from Duane's.
Glad you liked the teri burger. You got um with mushrooms too?
Shauna - The conversation usually goes like this:
bbh808: Hi there my childhood friend!!
chf(childhood friend): Hey bbh808!! How's the ba..........
bbh808: You going do the Black Friday thing again this year?
chf :...by? Uh, yeah.
bbh808: Baby is great. crawling all over the place. So where you going?
chf: ala moana. sears, disney stor........
bbh808: You going sears. good, go get me the sony blu-ray player on page 4 of the ad. the one for $179.99. make sure you get enough money. if you running short on cash, just skip going to the disney store. your kids too young to know about disney stuff anyway. got it?
chf: uh, yeah.
bbh808: good. i'll pay you back in $10/month increments. no interest.
chf: what if they run out before i get there?
bbh808: well, you better get there early or you going be driving down to pearlridge!!
Nah, nah, nah. just kidding!! i didn't ask anyone this year. and when i do ask, i make sure it's something small and cheap. i make sure to get them good christmas gifts in return.
BTW: I was #111 last night. I guess my prize was some "scones".
November 28th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
wow, that last play was cool!
November 28th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
eh, queenie, no hog all the chips. Pass some down along with the salsa. Good block Jamie.
November 28th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
HSiB:
Talk about two lousy teams playing a football game......ASU has only 101 yards of total offense and they are leading 31-9...the defense scored all of their touchdowns...3 interception returns and a fumble return
What a fugly game.
November 28th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
NEO: Great job on the salsa!!
Teejay: I love salsa so much but I guess I'll share some of NEO's great salsa... heh heh. I need to refill my drink! Whatcha want?
anklebiters: So does this mean the chances of ASU playing the Hawaii Bowl is going down?
So you went to 99 Ranch today, huh? I used to get these good Chinese noodles from one of those stands...
November 28th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
toss me an A&W rootbeer...
November 28th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
Hawaii wins game two 25-19!!!
November 28th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
UH wins game two!! 25-19!
November 28th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
Lucky Hawaii had a big lead and the last server for the other team served it into the net.
November 28th, 2008 at 8:31 pm
Shauna:
ASU needs to win next week too to be bowl eligible, against U of Az.....
99 mkt is really a mess there....bunch of small shops and nothing else except for the restaurant.
November 28th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
How did the get together go...still going on at Fort St?
November 28th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
anklebiters: Yeah, I'm waiting for an update from NKHEA!
NEO: Got your root beer!
#131: It's good we're winning but it's more exciting when it's close!!
November 28th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Queenie, great volleyball party. Hawaii kick butt tonight and taking names.
November 28th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
That is true. But it is not fun because if Hawaii is not playing well, it gets frustrating.
November 28th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Did anyone find any deals today?????
November 28th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
Thanks Queen... can't believe Kahuku LOST in OT!!!
November 28th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
ankles: I got a deal on my books at Barnes and Noble.
November 28th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
Teejay: I thought your FRIEND went to Barnes and Nobles... heh heh.
MATCH POINT!!!
November 28th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Teejay:
I stayed away from the malls today......nothing to buy really. I use to read a lot but haven't gotten back into it. Not enough time to sit down and read anymore.
Anyone going to the Arts Craft fair at Blaisdale tomorrow?
November 28th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Aloha ball and then the show begins!
November 28th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Where's Keefe? The fourth senior.
November 28th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
#131: Good point. Plus it's much better if we can do a sweep, right?
NEO: What game are you watching??
anklebiters: Didn't buy that much stuff today and I felt a bit depressed I didn't get any really good deals. I was ready to buy stuff but I just didn't see any. MayBEE others in The Hive will have better stories...
bamboohouse808: I totally cracked up over your phone call. Especially with you cutting off your friend's line!! Haha! Too funny! In fact it sounded so real..........
So how'd you like those scones? Looking to get seconds?
November 28th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
Hawaii wins game three!! 25-23!!!!
November 28th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!
November 28th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
Oh yeah, my friend went to Barnes and Noble and bought Dean Koontz, Clive Cussler and Jim Butcher.
November 28th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
woooo hoooooo......now the tears begin.....
November 28th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
Shauna,
So true. Although, like you said it is not as fun.
Only in Hawaii the other teams Senior's get an ovation and leis.
November 28th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
Sorry, this is not the show I was thinking about. Don't like it because it takes away from the girls.
November 28th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
#131: So are we losing a lot of good seniors? What's gonna happen next year?
November 28th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Does anyone else think this is like the ultimate class act? I mean the aunties out there giving lei to the Cal Poly girls... No wonder girls want to play here... and in a return of class by Cal Poly, none of them left the court... now THAT is class...
NEO
November 28th, 2008 at 9:15 pm
Teejay:
I love Clive Cussler and Dale Brown books...How about Doc Savage books ?
November 28th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
ankles: Dale Brown is great and I love Patrick Maclanahan (sp?). Stephen Coonts is great also with Jake Grafton. We need to talk.
November 28th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
Ariel Chun needs to get out of the picture. She spends way too much time on camera.
November 28th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
Great send off for the Wahine Seniors. Only in Hawaii.
Shauna - I thought we had this discussion last night. I'm hungry. You need to make your scones bigger!! Or I need a couple more smaller ones.
November 28th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
Oh no bamboo, you goin dea again? You got cajones...
November 28th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
Hey all - I back now. Good game for the Wahine. Would have BEEn nice to see Keefe get more playing time on her senior night.
I'm amazed at the role Tara Hittle played this year. I was shocked when she was suited up as libero at the beginning of the season. I would often get frustrated in previous years at her inconsistency at outside hitter. Her defense was always pretty good, and it really showed in the position change. What a great role player.
@Shauna - yup, got the $2 dvds from Wal Mart.
That's pretty much all I went for. Needed some good bingo prizes. I picked up about 10 of them. How can you go wrong with $2!?!
I guess it was between the dvds and the LED flashlights from Home Depot as the deals of the day for me. I was hoping to score stuff from Radio Shack as well, but it was just too BEEtarded in there.
November 28th, 2008 at 10:01 pm
Just finished dinner and Ala Moana wasn't crowded at all. No problem finding parking. Didn't look like people were buying too much stuff. Maybe they did all their buying earlier today.
Sorry I missed out on the game and snacks.
November 28th, 2008 at 10:02 pm
anklebiters: Are you going to that craft fair tomorrow? It looks like a big one. You probably can find a lot of neat gifts. Are you also planning on attending the football game tomorrow night?
bamboohouse808: Bigger?!?! You just take what you can get!! Eat slower so you can savor the taste. That's as big as they'll get so learn to love it.
NEO: Definitely a class act...
BananaFysh: Whatcha doing? Eating the whole turkey?!?! You got some work to do!!
November 28th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
Eh Bamboohouse - you going share those scones or what?
@Shauna - I pau eat a while ago. I fell asleep watching volleyball.
Sorry, I didn't take a nap.
Work to do? Aigoo! What now?
November 28th, 2008 at 10:14 pm
Masako: Wow, what a long and busy day for you! But it does beat going to work. I wasn't too smart since I went shopping from early in the morning after having to work late last night and having to work tonight.
But it sounds like you had a good plan. It's good to have someone there to help you carry stuff... And it's good when you can split up to cover more ground! So did you see those bacon chocolate bars? And I love gomatei!! I always get the tan tan ramen also! I like the one with vegetables.
anklebiters: Have you been there yet? It's in Ward kinda near Borders... MayBEE you can go tomorrow BEEfore the craft fair?? Who were you going to the fair with? And can you remind me what COW music was again. I keep thinking country but it's not, right?
Shizah: Hey there! Happy Black Friday!!
Ukuhead: Wow, so Ala's wasn't that crowded... Lucky for you. So did you guys do some shopping after?
BananaFysh: You play BINGO at your family party?
November 28th, 2008 at 10:20 pm
Banana - You can have my share of scones. You better go get some Krispy Kremes too, cause you'll have room for dessert afterwards. You saw the menu last week. You know what I'm talking about.
November 28th, 2008 at 10:26 pm
When I think about it bamboo, no BEE greedy give to da needy! And Shauna, sharing is caring you know. Tis da season heh heh.....
November 28th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
@Shauna - yeah, we play "white elephant" bingo. We get some real crappy stuff in our bingo. Gotta inject some good stuff in every year too, not the same-old, same-old.
@bamboohouse - hm, good point my braddah. MayBEE I go get 1 dozen Krispy Kremes and 1 dozen mochi. Den should be all good.
Dude, we going get beat down for this one.
All in da plan, yeah?
November 28th, 2008 at 10:31 pm
Shizah - It's a wonder she no just moderate me and banish me to the corner of the hive for "timeout".
I've been bad the last couple of nights. I blame all the turkey I've been eating.
November 28th, 2008 at 10:38 pm
hey bambo, for real no?
November 28th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
Banana - I know. We are going to get beat down for this one. At least you on another island. I might be walking through Ala Moana Center one day and out of the blue get cracked in the bamboo shoots with a boot with furrrr.
November 28th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
Shauna:
Going to the fair with my sister and her BF. I hadn't planned on going to the game...maybe I will since I'm so close to the stadium....who is going
What is at Ward near borders?
COW MUSIC = country music MOOOOOOOO
November 28th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
OL - If you read this in time, go get Brick Oven Pizza. It's kinda on the other side of the island though. I think in Kalaheo. I don't remember what I ate, but was good. And they get beer too. And if you going go all the way down there, stop off at the Lawai Food Mart and get Lawai Manju.
November 28th, 2008 at 11:04 pm
@bamboohouse - oh, so I should take advantage of my "geography" and lip off then?
Crazy. I might BEE walking around on Maui eating manju, and get a boot with furrrr in the banana.
That wouldn't even come with honey drizzled scones.
November 28th, 2008 at 11:13 pm
HSiB:
Sorry to see your UCLA loose a badly played football game by both teams...the fans should have asked for a refund
November 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am
Banana - Our leader is nowhere to be found. I think you hurt our Queen's feelings. That 1 dozen Krispy Kremes and 1 dozen manju comment was just uncalled for.
I think I need to go to sleep. Let this evil turkey food wear off. Tomorrow I will be my normal innocent self. Good night all!!
November 29th, 2008 at 12:12 am
BananaFysh and bamboohouse808: Hey, there's some furrrr hanging out of your...I mean between your banana and bamboo shoots, respectively!
anklebiters: There's a good ramen shop called gomatei that Masako went to today. It's on the ground floor kinda near the Borders end... It's close to the Blaisdell so it will BEE convenient IF you can find parking! And COW music is country. OK! Have you heard some songs from John Michael Montgomery? Those are good for country!
November 29th, 2008 at 12:29 am
@bamboohouse - you think? Queenie is tougher than she looks, I think.
hehe, lay off the evil turkey!
Good night!
November 29th, 2008 at 12:29 am
@Shauna - Yep saw those chocolate bars and I picked one up. Hopefully the Hive will get together soon and I can bus um out. Hoo bummers to hear that the price of stuff at Costco went up. Im planning to go tomorrow to pick up the coupon items. Maybe I will end up with less than I planned to buy.
@Anklebiters - The ramen was so yummy. The broth was a mildly spicey sesame flavor. I ordered the Wakame Tan Tan ramen and M had the Char siu Tan Tan ramen. The pork was so tender, next time i going to order that. The place is called Goma tei. I hope you get a chance to check it out.
November 29th, 2008 at 12:31 am
@Shauna - hey, stop making fun of my furrrrr!
Or is that your furrr?
Are you working the midnight shift again Queenie?
November 29th, 2008 at 12:41 am
BananaFysh: Stop BEEing a stalker and pretending to care about my work schedule. Heh heh!
Now go stuff yourself with your manju and whatever else floats your boat. And yes, that's my furrr from my boot that kicked you in the butt! What kind of turkey did you eat that you are getting so confused?
Masako: But to BEE fair I guess prices for everything went up slightly cause of rising costs... It just sucks cause you are getting the same item you always got but for a higher price. I just don't like it when the store makes like it's a deal when it really isn't... I didn't get any coupons when I went today cause they ran out. But they scan in the master one at the register so you still get the discount. If I saw right, the specials only go until Sunday...
November 29th, 2008 at 12:53 am
@Shauna - So mean to me!
WWD?!?!
Chee, punchy, eh tonight? BEEcause you didn't get a nap? Awwwww, poor thing.
hee hee hee
Hey, what's with the kicking now? Hands all sore from spanking my buns of steel?
November 29th, 2008 at 12:57 am
Masako:
I'll give it a try tomorrow if it works out.
Shauna:
YOU'VE GOT MAIL
November 29th, 2008 at 12:59 am
Masako and I went to Side Street tonight to meet up with NKHEA, IKHEA, RL, Paula, opso and C0hiba. Had choke fun as usual and plenty food. I think we left after 10:00. Found out that C0hiba went to the same high school as NKHEA and I and know the same classmates that we know.
November 29th, 2008 at 12:59 am
@Shauna - oh yeah, what is this "work" you're having me do?
Scone tasting?
Or was that thing we talked about in the "secret place?"
November 29th, 2008 at 12:59 am
Shauna:
You know, I sorta like John Michael, maybe just one song - I Swear .
November 29th, 2008 at 1:00 am
BananaFysh: Dang you, make me feel all bad. Actually one of my fingers are sore. Did you have a spike on your butt that penetrated my finger or something? I feel like there's something in it, like an inside splinter or something.
I'm going to sleep and hope everything's better in the morning! MayBEE my girls will do some tormenting while I'm AFK...
Night, Banana!
November 29th, 2008 at 1:00 am

small world
November 29th, 2008 at 1:02 am
Gotta go sleep now, tomorrow is day 2 for shopping.
November 29th, 2008 at 1:03 am
went to kahala mall and pearlridge tonight - neither was super crowded but definitely more people at pearlridge - mostly macy's because they had some good deals! i bought a purse for my friend for 1/4 of the original price and many things for less than half price!
qb, you know what i mentioned about the morning specials going on longer than usual? at pearlridge, they didn't mention that the store was closed and everyone was still shopping - only after my son called (he was going to meet us) and i looked towards the entrance did i notice that the doors were closed! it was already a half hour after closing (i didn't know what time they closed so i just kept shopping!)! but, it was like they were holding the shoppers captive!! lol... oh well, i'm happy 'cause we got a lot of shopping done!! still got a lot to do, but we did make a good dent in the list tonight! i'll probably be back out shopping tomorrow night!
November 29th, 2008 at 1:06 am
Oh no! Everyone is awake all of a sudden!
anklebiters: I don't have access to that e-mail from home... SecretPlace??
M: Wow, so you guys all did meet up? I so wish I could've BEEn there!! Sounds like fun! And what a small world!
BananaFysh: The work was the spreadsheet on the lucky number tallies. Easy, yeah? Not only that, but you might see a pattern in my numbers... See, you benefit, too.
November 29th, 2008 at 1:08 am
@Shauna - Spikes on my butt? Not to my knowledge!

If any part of you got "penetrated" I hope it wasn't something from my butt.
hee hee hee
Bad Banana!
Good night Queenie!
Gosh, I can't imagine who would torment me at this time of the night....
November 29th, 2008 at 1:09 am
C0hiba, it was great to meet you tonight To bad you couldn't stay longer. We have to do this again. I heard that you paid for all the pupus, thank you very munch!
November 29th, 2008 at 1:09 am
@Shauna - oh, you were serious about that spreadsheet?
Do I get scones as a reward?
hehe
November 29th, 2008 at 1:11 am
anklebiters: *sigh* rebuilding year. but ASU has a chance of coming to hawaii! i will cheer for them next week and hopefully we can get them to play hawaii!
shauna: today was crazy! we opened at 4:30 am and a lot of customers told us that they had stayed up all night...went shopping at waikele (opened at 10pm) and then drove over to ala moana after. crazy huh? so i had a long day at job #1, got some luch (pizza, courtesy of work) and then jetted off to job #2, providing all those shoppers their caffine fix. but all in all, it was a good day. the mall was busy and i felt i worked hard for my earnings. and i even got home before i expected!
November 29th, 2008 at 1:15 am
Shauna:

Ocean Lover: Sounds like you're eating a lot of good food!! Sometimes when you're at a place for a while, you get used to the pace of life up there. When you come home, you might miss that Kauai lifestyle!! Uh-oh, will we see a different Ocean Lover?
anklebiters: Let us know how the craft fair is! You can sometimes find all these great little gifts there! Are you you going to try and check out gomatei later? I BEElieve they don't open till 11 or so... Oh yeah, I got your message and now I'm getting the time line better. Can't wait for part 2!!

Ill. zoo creates ornaments from reindeer droppings
Fri Nov 28, 2:51 pm ET
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Christmas ornaments for sale at the Miller Park Zoo's gift shop are partly manufactured by reindeer. Honest!
Staffers make decorations out of droppings from the zoo's two reindeer, Ealu and Rika. The droppings are dried, then clear-coated and either painted or rolled in glitter.
Zoo marketing director Susie Ohley has named the products "magical reindeer gem ornaments," and each comes with a label of authenticity. They cost $5 at the zoo gift shop.
Staffer Katie Buydos, who makes jewelry as a hobby, donated wire and beads, saying, "Susie asked me to bring some creativity to the table."
Some folks are surprised at the size of the "gems," which are only about as big as marbles. "Reindeer are so big," zoo maintenance worker Sheldon Williams said. But the droppings are "just a big pile of small."
Wonder if would sell if it was dipped in chocolate?

Managed to stay AFK for most of the day again.
My ears weren't ringing today, so thank you very much.
Except for that Masako. Sensually yours!?!? I think details on that shopping spree needs to go in the "secret place."
For sure I won't poke my eye out reading that detailed shopping adventure!
Well, not on purpose, anyways.
@Anklebiters - nice slideshow, my friend!
Kudos!
November 30th, 2008 at 5:41 am
Ynaku; yeah we went Wed night fishing with dem couple times too, good people, good food, and good cold Beea's
Wow, small world yeah
Anklebiters; good job

Morning.
November 30th, 2008 at 9:20 am
@HNL2LAS, actually, when I saw his picture from the Triad, he looked like a guy that I know named Robert. So I kept looking at the different shots of him. He's not the guy, but the face kinda stuck in my head. So when I saw him on Thursday, I did recognize him.
Too bad you couldn't make it to Sidestreet was fun. Short but fun.
I don't know how NKHEA was able to order end cut prime rib (rare). He must know the chef.
November 30th, 2008 at 11:07 am
Teejay: Morning and sorry you didn't have much company last night on the game! I wanted to know more about that freak goal attempt... So are you going to watch the Hawaii Bowl live?
M and Masako: You guys are so cute! Now that most of your shopping is done, you can start on the fun part: wrapping the gifts!! Do you buy gift tags or create your own? What kind of baking are you guys doing this year?
anklebiters: Thanks again for sharing that slideshow! Yeah I remember liking Tsukiji's also! Haven't been there in a while! I know your vacation is almost over... Hope you had a fabulous time and hope you'll BEE back for the Hawaii Bowl!!
NKHEA: So has the weather BEEn too cold for SUP? Brrr....
C0hiba: Any more plans to come back to Oahu soon?
Ocean Lover: Yay, you'll almost BEE home and back to life as usual with unlimited computer access! And thanks for the warning on Hamura's! I'm strangely curious to know how filthy we're talking...
BananaFysh: Your ears weren't ringing BEEcause we're keeping you on your toes... Can't torment you EVERY day, mayBEE just every other!
So were you out shopping?
BTW, that BINGO game you play, did you create a new game to tailor it to your family or just use a typical BINGO card? Thanks!
HNL2LAS: So are you feeling better?
Ynaku: 40 times whipped with a wet noodle!! Love that funny phrase!
Shizah: No BEE jealous cause I'm sure you'll get your turn!
Scott: Ah, the designated driver! Did you have a nice time? What did you have?
November 30th, 2008 at 11:33 am
QB, I'll bee back for a quick trip this coming weekend. Get in late Saturday Night. Attending the Na Koa Banquet Sunday night, then back home Monday afternoon.
Gonna go see Snow's miracle cure chiropractor on Monday again.
If the hive is hanging at the bee vomit place late Sat, I might be able to stop by.
November 30th, 2008 at 11:48 am
I'm better thanks! Good thing, cuz its BEEzy, BEEzy, BEEzy.... hehe... ! Just the irritating itchy throat left, BAH! Have the UH replay on tv, while I'm doing stuff and checking in here! YAY!! Hawaii Bowl!!!
November 30th, 2008 at 11:51 am
Shauna: I was doing more research on a future guitar purchase than worrying about who was out there. Some go through midlife crisis buying cars or finding a new mates but for me its all about the music, kinda like anklebiters.
You know me and UH sports. I'm vocal and have a great time watching and enjoying the players and the fans! Would've been nice to have a football date with you but what the hey or hay.
I would like to see Hawaii's opponent before deciding whether to go to the game or watch it on tv.
November 30th, 2008 at 11:52 am
Hope UH finds another kicker BEEfore the bowl game....Dunno bout dat guy.
November 30th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
Shizah: I agree with you on Dan Kelly. He had a great year (possible NFL player) last and I repeat LAST year but he is struggling this season. He seems to try to hard and that messes with his brain. Kicking is like putting; It's all between the ears. Next weeks game against Cinci is going to be the true bowl game.
November 30th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
4 Real Teejay. How does he miss 3 chip shot field goals?
November 30th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Shizah: the only good thing that came out of one of his misses was that freak block and the Hawaii recovery. Dan Kelly's leg was stronger last year in that he could kick into the end zone on kick offs but now he's placing down on the goal to 5 yard line.
Hawaii's special teams have always sucked big time and that has lost them more games than defense or offense so I don't why they don't work heavily on that area.
November 30th, 2008 at 12:55 pm
Yeah wat was up wit dat block? WSU was running around and lateralling like had no time left when had 6:45 left.
November 30th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
Well, I guess das why dey 2-11.
November 30th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
Good afternoon and a hive 5 to errybody!!! Was at my uncle's house last night for the game/hanafuda/steaks/ham/etc... It was a great time... Even better win for UH... QB, didja all miss me?
Back for a while now... Holla atcha boi!

November 30th, 2008 at 2:50 pm

November 30th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
QB; it's BEEn a little cold
but gatta do, what you gatta do, if you wanta do
To bad you couldn't meet COhiba, he one hell of a nice guy...(he payed for da pupu's)
anklebiters; his name not Cliff.
November 30th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
NKHEA:
hmmmmmm...don't know of anyone else that lives on the Big Island, even less, who call me by my birth first name.
November 30th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
Teejay:
Bought a hard cover Clive Cussler book, Black Wind, at Shirokiya's for $1
November 30th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
M: Which Costco did you go to? I wanted to see how crowded it was and swung by the Iwilei one. Terrible terrible! I ended up leaving!
anklebiters: Wow, what a great deal!! Was it a new book??
NKHEA: Yeah, I heard COhiba paid. That was really nice of him! Wow, I still give you credit for braving the cold water! BRRR....
C0hiba: Ooh, back again? I think anklebiters will BEE gone by then.
NEO: Hanafuda? Wow, I haven't played that game for so long!! I wonder if I still have my cards...
Teejay and Shizah: Sorry I can't add much about the football game... I'll just listen to what you two have to say.
HNL2LAS: MayBEE some ice cream will help!!
November 30th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
Shauna:
I think they only sell used books there.....same as CDs and DVDs...all previously viewed....was looking for the Princess Bride dvd for you
November 30th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
@Shauna - We buy gift tags, I like the sticker ones. Not sure what to bake this year. Probably end up doing rum cakes, chocolate chip cookies and arare cookies. So far all I have bought is mac nuts and a bottle of Barcardi. Gotta set aside a couple of days to bake now.
November 30th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
anklebiters, sorry for the confusion. I'm not Cliff.
I know it's not you.
The guy I thought you looked like worked with me in college, he used to play the drums.
November 30th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Shauna, we went to the Hawaii Kai Costco, it was beezzee but I think the Iwilei one is much more crazy...We saw IKHEA at Costco, NKHEA was dea too but we didn't see him.
November 30th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
M, r u 100% pau shop now? Just gotta wrap?
November 30th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
anklebiters: I actually HAVE that DVD, I just never watched it.
That's why all those ODD references go over my head... And I think I know what section you are talking about. It's across the Sanrio area, yea?
Masako: Definitely do arare cookies!!! I saw those at Wholesale and like them a lot! It's such a unique combination and definitely says Hawaii! Are the cookies for Mainland folks? Yeah, sticker tags are easiest. Just was wondering if you were into crafts and stuff...
M: Wow, you guys ran into IKHEA? It seems like everyone is running into everyone since we met!! What are the ODDS?
November 30th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Shauna , I known IKHEA since high school when she and NKHEA was going out together. I was at their wedding too. We run into each other shopping every now and then.
November 30th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
QB. The arare get stuck in the back molars.
November 30th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
Couldn't catch the game on espn360.com so I followed the play by play. Not really sure how good Hawaii played. I feel bad for the state of WA. It's hard to believe that you can have 2 teams from a BCS conference, from the same state that can suck this bad. I'll take it since Hawaii gets to go to the Hawaii Bowl. What's far more important to me is that Hawaii beats Cincy and shows just how jacked the BCS is. A loss to Hawaii will or should drop Cincy at least 10 spots to #23. They'll still go to a BCS bowl while undefeated Boise St ponders what more they could've done as they prepare for the Humanitarian Bowl.
November 30th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
C0hiba:
Hey, I use to play bass guitar
I use to work at the HCC bookstore in the mid '70s with Lady, Sylvia, Cliff, Howard and GLee. In fact, Ryan Kurosaki worked there a bit during the baseball off season. Last I hear, he was a fireman in Arkansas. Lady retired as manager from the UH-Manoa bookstore, Sylvia's the manager at LCC (I'm going to pop in on her before I leave) and I think Cliff retired from UH-Hilo recently as the bookstore manager. They were a great bunch to work along side with...played a lot of hanafuda after work
If any on you attend HCC in the mid 70's maybe you remember some of us
November 30th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
Good afternoon Hive!
Just another chillaxin' day.
@Shauna - our family's bingo is just a regular set. Kind of a hardcore one, with the cage and balls, not the little chips in the cardboard box. I hope that's the one HSiB said he swallowed, and not the 1" balls.
HA!
Thank you for not tormenting me yesterday. Somehow, I get the feeling that I'll get double the tormenting on another day, however.
That's okay, I can take it, you punchy girl.
re: Dan Kelly - Man, I can't figure this guy out. He was a machine last year. Automatic, every time. This year, he seems to have like "doubt gremlins" in his head or something. I dunno. I don't want to hate on him, because he often comes through in the clutch situations.
I have a great deal of respect for him, especially seeing him take down the ball carriers. That dude lays some solid hits on guys! You don't see kickers do that very often.
You know what? All kickers gotta miss sometimes. If this was the game where he had to miss, that's cool. As long as he hits the ones that he needs to, it's okay.
November 30th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
Wade:
I think the PAC-10 just had another off year...except for USC and both Oregon schools. I prefer to see UofAz in the Hawaii Bowl...I believe that would be a more exciting game with Tuitama at QB than ASU's Carpenter and crew. Besides, they were just here two years ago.
November 30th, 2008 at 4:37 pm
Sports in general are all whacked for Washington this year.
Mariners = Suck
Seahawks = Suck
Supersonics = Gone, moved to Oklahoma City?!?!?! WTH?!?!?
Well, football sucks for U Dub and Wazzu. Women's VB is good at U Dub.
THose 2 schools should BEE okay at men's hoops too. Hopefully they don't get dragged down by the rest of the state's bad sports luck.
November 30th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
Gonna see if I can do my around-the-island road trip before I leave. This time Head east around Hawaii Kai, Waimanalo, stop by to see my MIL in Kaneohe, Kuuloa Park, take pictures, so I can avoid the traffic coming home. I hope the north shore surf is still BIG.
November 30th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
ankles: What a deal!!! I'll buy that for a dollar. That was a good book. I think it had to do with Japanese attacking the mainland.
BF: you got it right with Mr. Kelly. I really like his personality and it seems he's a very nice person but when you play for UH..... Hope he can pull it together for the next two games.
Wade: I can see Hawaii actually playing a full game and beating Cincy and then seeing Boise being left out of any BCS bowl. That would be typical NCAA. Did anybody hear where the wahine got sent to?
November 30th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
BananaFysh: The main question is how did you do in Fantasy Football today. Wonder why I care so much...
And LOL on the BINGO chips/balls. My, you have a memory like a machine!!
Wade: So are you saying that this whole BCS standings are unfair cause certain teams that lose still can make it in whereas if it were another team, their chances would BEE over?
C0hiba: Hmmm...arare stuck in the molars would suck but those cookies are sooo good!!! MayBEE you can just dig out the arare bits with a toothpick after!
November 30th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
@Teejay - yeah, it's hard for any UH kicker to follow in the shadow of Jason Elam. The dude is legendary.
November 30th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
300?
November 30th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
Shauna:
Here's my take on the BCS bowls:
Take the top 10, irregardless of conference affiliations, the top 2 play for the BCS Championship. the other 8 can be assigned to the other 4 BCS bowls.
It's really strange that the Hawaii high schools can have a playoff, playing 13-14 games to be crowned, but the NCAA are such a wimp saying it will detract from the student-athletes schooling
November 30th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
Yeah! #300 baby!
The new #3!
@Shauna - Fantasy is grating my nerves! I need my Vikes to do well, and then my fantasy players should benefit as well.
You gold-digger, you.
haha!!
November 30th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Shauna: I"ll tell you what. Why don't we make it a movie date and watch "The Princess Bride" together. I'll bring the snacks and you'll finally watch one of the greatest movies ever made. "Casablanca" and "Gone With the Wind" have nothing on this movie. The only movies that are better than "Princess Bride" is any that Angelina Jolie is in (nuff said).
November 30th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
Devone Bess had another great day for Miami, led Miami receivers with 6 catches for 84 yards, 1 punt return for 17 yds. I'm happy for him...
November 30th, 2008 at 5:28 pm
yeah! 99yd TD for Berrian!
Go Vikes!
That definitely helps me fantasy wise.
Good job by Bess! He certainly benefited by Camarillo's injury.
November 30th, 2008 at 5:41 pm
BACK! God has a sense of humor. This morning we eat breakfast at Country Kitchen on the outskirts of Kapaa. This guy in the booth in back of me KEPT YACKING loud such that anyone within 20 feet could clearly hear him. Every other word was F$#@$#* dis........F$#@$#* dat. Talk about IGNORANT......."If you tell one girl you going take her on a date to McDonalds.........see what she says....if she don't grumble, SHE'S OKAY!" this IGNORAMUS tells pretty much the whole restaurant. "$5 can buy two cheeseburgers off the dollah menu........get moa money for da movie" was another "gem" out of this idiots mouth. He's talking NON-STOP......."I take my dates FEESHING........dey don't know it but dey da BAIT" I have NO IDEA what that one meant.
After a while he mentions "da pancake house in Kaneohe.........and when we GET BACK.........." made me realize THE IDIOT IS FROM OAHU!
We finish breakfast.....go to the mall (again) as the boy wanted some more clothes........then go to the airport. As we're waiting at the gate area...........we see THIS IGNORANT IDIOT! The dummy was on OUR FLIGHT!!!!! I think he ate too much breakfast as he was kinda quiet.
WHAT ARE THE ODDS??????????????
OL........glad to BEE back home
November 30th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
@anklebiter I know your first name, is Ankles yeah?
Which HCC you talking about? Hawaii Community College? I was there 74-77. Bowled with a team there. Was in Electronics Technology with Ed Fujita and Steve Togashi.
Never hang out at the bookstore, although had to pay big bucks for those books. Never bought used cause was all specialized books and nobody like give up their old ones.
Coulda saved money.
November 30th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
Hi c0hiba. I from Hilo. Probably bumped into each other and not know it. From what I hear, you one nice guy too. Big Island guys like that yeah? Hope we get to meet one day.
Taking about small world. Alan Okami from the blog "Kaleo O Kalihi" has a grandma close to where I live. We never meet either. And he's on the Big Island this weekend. Check him out too. He one great guy. Take good care of his workers. Wish I was working for a company like that. I would be a lifer too.
November 30th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Where's everybody tonight?
November 30th, 2008 at 6:13 pm
This weekend, we cleaned out downstairs closet. Can walk in now. Going sell whatevers had iniside. I had small kine frig, one old Peavey Sound System (gotta clean the jacks. I bought one new Yamaha system when my dauighter graduated so no need this old buggah)
November 30th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
Oh yesterday we were supposed to clean out my storage shed. Came home after lunch and we all passed out. Paralysis. Actually I was up but wife was snoring and I didn't have the heart to wake her. (Right!!! I never like work das why)
November 30th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
Today Sunday, wife said, we going eat small kine lunch and NOBODY GO SLEEP cause we going attack the shed. I took one whole truck load of JUN...stuff to the dump. We had stuff from the 1999 garage sale. No even look inside, tossed. Old PC parts...Tossed.

# 313 Whoo Hoo Baby!!!!!! Oh that was the other day. Never mind, we hit em anyways.
November 30th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
Ynaku: You just like me last night and have nobody to talk to. Your wife snores?
November 30th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
Howzit Ynaku,
I cleaned mother's sewing room Thanksgiving day. Sister, brother, and I went through all the junks in her house in Kapahulu. Choke bags of trash. Founds some interesting stuff.
Was so clean, we had to take pictures of the empty room.
Da beea's tasted really good after accomplishing that.
November 30th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
Ocean Lover: Welcome back!!! Oh, I can't stand those kind of people!!
Either they have no clue on how loud they are talking or they want everyone to hear. He probably had that annoying tone to his voice also!! Was he also yakking away on the plane? Good thing the flight isn't too long! Imagine BEEing stuck next to that idiot on a Mainland flight!!
Teejay: Aw, you mean we can't watch "Casablanca" or "Gone with the Wind" instead? But I guess if the snacks are good...
Ynaku: Doesn't it feel so good to get rid of stuff? Clutter weighs us down so much. Sigh... Glad to hear your tools are still safe!!
You still have another week to keep your eye on them though!
BananaFysh: Congrats on the new #3! Sorry, you can't add that to your spreadsheet though.
anklebiters: I like your idea for the BCS top 10... is it BEEcause of politics that it can't BEE that way? When do you think you'll do your around-the-island trip?
November 30th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
Whoa, long day. Had class #2 for parenting at Kapiolani. Hmmm, today I learned how to swadle an infant, get em' to stop crying....forgot the rest. They tell me it should come naturally. Hope so.....
Then, on to Scott's Hell on Earth....
dun dun dun dunnn
Walmart and Sams Club @ Christmas time.
Last year I got so pissed at Walmart I left in a hurry, and....one frustrated driver on King St., plus 2 cops cars =1 big ticket and a day in court. But that was last year, I'm a changed fella.
Actually was kinda cool this year. Maybe I'm getting all soft, but people at Walmart seemed very nice this year. The clerk even let me plug in all my Christmas lights before I bought them, so I knew they weren't burned out. I'm taking more time to look at children, observe infants and parental interaction, the kind of stuff I'll be doing very soon.
After a long walk with the dogs, saw some of the regulars in Waikiki, had my Sunday steak dinner with the wife. Now the red wine is setting in and I am content. Christmas lights and music helps, too.
.....and to all a goodnight, (hiccup)
Oh, had the turkey burger and Rogue Old Crusty beer last night at Yardhouse. Great service at that place.
November 30th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Thanks Queenie.......the guy was sitting about 8 rows in front of us. I didn't HEAR HIM so was okay.
I don't mind LOUD PEOPLE.......but when he's showing his IGNORANCE with every other word the "F" word...............that GRATES ON ME. He wasn't saying it in a "mad" tone.........that's just a part of HIS SPEECH.
Da boy wants to go to HOME DEPOT.............I'm tired, yet he won't take "no" for an answer...........
OL............"sap"
November 30th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
Yes! Got out of taking "da boy" to Home Depot (gonna take him TOMORROW NIGHT
)
Hey Scott, had a baby in the seat right in front of us on the plane. Prior to leaving the jetway, the kid was SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER. EV ERYONE in the immediate vicinity was going "bonkers" as I imagine the parents were TRYING TO CALM THE KID DOWN. After 20 minutes and just when the plane started moving, the kid stopped! Man, was to the point I told my wife "They should just put their thumb in the kids mouth" or "Somebody give that kid a lollipop!"
All I remember about babies.....if they screaming bloody murder its either they HUNGRY or they made doodies in their dydee.
REMEMBER THAT Scott!
OL.......giving Bruddah Scott some parenting lessons
November 30th, 2008 at 7:23 pm
@Shauna - Actually I like to do crafts. I have enough scrapbooking stuff to open a store plus can make tags with the stuff too. The problem is no more time and i need more space. I like to lay everything out. Every so often I will bring a table into the living room and work on a book Same goes when we bake, the table comes into the kitchen and its like a major production. Sometimes the cookies go to the mainland but I don't think i'll be sending a package to the mainland people this year, just going send money.
November 30th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
Good night all. Heading home.
Hope to see ya on the blog tomorrow night.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
Ocean Lover-are you volunteering to babysit? Like they say, it takes a whole village....yeah, Julius (finally chose his name) was raised by the Beehive. That's why he's so SWEET. (audience groans)
November 30th, 2008 at 8:31 pm
Scott: Yeah, Julius will BEE the Beehive's first baby to raise!! He'll BEE our little prince of The Hive!
But you have to give us permission to use his cute little face for all our promotional endeavors! Ocean Lover and Ynaku, we need to start our baby line pronto!
And that's good news that Wal-Mart let you test out your Christmas lights! Nothing sucks more than you getting all excited to string your lights when they don't work.
BTW, how can you tell when you need to replace just one bulb or the whole set is broken?
C0hiba: Have a safe flight home!!
Masako: Yeah, I hear you about never having enough time! That's why so many of us try to start earlier and earlier every year!
Ocean Lover: Do you normally not like going to Home Depot?? What does your son want from there?? Is he creating some other Taser-like device? LOL!

Planning to do the tour Tuesday morning....you doing anything in the AM? You can ride shotgun..
Just dropped off brother/wife at the airport...on their way to the east coast,
November 30th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
I like greeter at the K-Mart near here.....the Wally-Marts at home are absolutely the worse around. I only shop their for the Mobil 1 synthetic oil...cheaper than anyone in the city.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
Ynaku:
Honolulu Comm. Col...is that the same?
November 30th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
Shauna: Since you not posting as you should, being the queen and all. I guess you're buying my Christmas present!!!!
Scott: Good luck and god bless on being a new father. It has the greatest rewards but the stakes are higher and you need to be up to the task. Those classes are a bunch of bull. I went through them and when my son came out...C-section. No need for the breathing and all that crap. My ex had all the drugs and all I was left with was holding a tray and catching her puke. What a Kodak moment that was. But all aside, hope your wife and you have a healthy and happy baby.
November 30th, 2008 at 9:24 pm
Dang I missed a lot while drinking...Guess I'll catch up up later. It's super early but I kinda drunk and I gotta work in the morn. Plus there is Monday Night Football tomorrow. Talk to you guys later....I might wake up in a bit....Shoots den!
November 30th, 2008 at 9:34 pm
Teejay: What's on your Christmas list? You know I can't give you Angelina!
anklebiters: Wish I could make it but I got a slight earlier shift that day. Your vacation is making me jealous. I can't wait until mine at the end of the year!
November 30th, 2008 at 9:56 pm
@anklebiters No, I guess not, Mine in Hilo. Hope you enjoying your vacation with Mom and Dad. Good fun yeah going all over the place shopping. You putting Rodney to shame
November 30th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
Good evening all... IDK what it is but I don't feel like it's Christmastime yet... does anyone have any ideas why it might be? I think it might be because I'm not in college anymore, and when I was in college I knew that it was Christmastime when the snow started falling and I would be home for a month... Ah well, it's still early in the season, I'll get into the spirit soon enough.

Soory gang for not BEEing around. Had dinner with kids. Daughter brought BEEBEE-Q Ribs. Was so ono. Also had Pork Chops. Da kind gotta cut with knofe cause son wanted Progresso coating. So good with Ketsup. Also had Pinacbet from vegetable we bought at farmers market. Wife used one pork chop to make that one. That left us with 5 but enough to feed us big family.
After Dinner watched dvd "Journey to the Center of the Earth" Who remembers the old one with the duck or was that a goose? This one was pretty good with Brenden Frasier. That girl in the movies looks nice
(never too old to look. Just no touch)
Son playing Animal Crossing. I have no idea what the whole thing is about. He just running around with his friend trying to find him. Beats me. Anyway he got to play AFTER he finished his Kumon and after he promised to help clean out the shed (which he did). So deal is a deal, he gets to play his Wii.
I had top kick him off my Ijoy so I could sit on it. Me happy now.
November 30th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
NEO: Hey there! Don't worry about not feeling it yet! You know why you don't? It's not December yet! LOL! Plus from tomorrow on you'll see lots of stories on shopping and Christmas wherever you go... And mayBEE this may help you get in the mood. The Advertiser is starting to do videos for our blog promos. MayBEE you can think of a cute jingle for the Triad to do
In fact, anyone can submit ideas for the Triad to do a joint video promo for the holidays. Think visual and give all three of us some funny lines!

Thanks Queen, you sure know how to cheer a guy up!

OL - Welcome back. I forgot to tell you about Kountry Kitchen in Kapaa. I remember ordering something with two of everything - pancakes, eggs, meat, etc. I just order mine without the side order "f&%$ dis".
It was good and better than eating McDs for breakfast.
Shauna - The Queen is back! I promise no more "scones" talk. I didn't eat any turkey today.

Even Polar Bears are Shims:
Japan polar bear mating stymied by gender mixup
Wed Nov 26, 2:28 pm ET
TOKYO (Reuters) – Handlers of a popular polar bear, brought to mate with a female in a zoo in northern Japan, found their breeding plan was doomed when they noticed that he, in fact, was a she.
Tsuyoshi, a four-year-old, 200 kg (441 lb) cream-colored polar bear, had been living in harmony with a female polar bear since June, the two often playing together, Masako Inoue, a zookeeper at the Kushiro Municipal Zoo, said on Wednesday.
"We thought he was a male, so we never had any doubts as we took care of him," she said.
"But one day we realized that the two bears urinate in the same way, and we thought, is that how males do it? And once we started to look at things that way, we weren't quite so sure."
After two DNA examinations of Tsuyoshi's hair and a manual exam, the Kushiro Municipal Zoo found Tsuyoshi to be a female.
"We do have mixed feelings," said Inoue.
"But because Tsuyoshi was supposed to be a male, she came here, and because she came here, we were able to take care of her since she was very small."
It is not uncommon for the sex of polar bears to be misread, Inoue said, as their long hair makes it difficult to distinguish, especially when the bears are young. Tsuyoshi was pegged as a male three months after birth, Inoue said.
The Kushiro Municipal Zoo will talk with other zoos in the area to see what to do about their breeding plan, she added.
HOW CAN THEY NOT KNOW SHIM WASN'T A MALE????? Don't the males have DaKine????? Open your eyes and look! I said open....oh they are open. BF, Go show them how it's done.
November 30th, 2008 at 11:49 pm
@Ynaku - sorry, cannot help you there with "eyes open." You seen my pics, the buggahs always shut.
MayBEE they just gotta go by feel.
Hang on to those tools! Not the bear's tool, the ones in your shed.
Most times the new models just don't stack up to the old one.
@Shauna - Eh bossy, telling me what I cannot put in my spreadsheet? Da noive!
Eh, I wen change um up little bit. Go look um. You go. Go look um. try go. you go.
Yeaahhh! I won my game this week! I locked up the regular season title! Whoo-hoo! Just gotta get ready for the playoffs!
How'd you do opso?
Winnah?

Scott - I find myself paying more attention to baby-related stuff too. Like strollers. I never noticed how many people with strollers there are until I had one myself. Fatherhood has mellowed me out I think. I'm a lot more patient with people. Not like I wasn't before, but I realize how easy it is to just let stuff slide. There's more important stuff for me to spend my thoughts and energy on.
I shouldn't be worried about the lady who left her shopping cart right behind my car in the Times parking lot. She saw me walk up to my car and she still left it there and walked into her car and drove off. I just couldn't believe that she would do that. I was like 6 feet away from her and she was still holding onto the cart when she saw me. WWD!! But I didn't go all "moke" on her and I'm over it now. Sorry. What was I saying about being more patient with people and worrying about important stuff??
December 1st, 2008 at 12:31 am
Shauna:
you have part II...
December 1st, 2008 at 12:34 am
Scott - BTW. Those baby classes are cool. Wait till they show you the video.
It'll make you want to stay home and wait till it's all over before you see your baby for the first time.
hahaha. just kidding.... sort of...... it'll make you appreciate your wife 10 million times more though!
December 1st, 2008 at 12:37 am
With that, I bid you all adieu. Good Night!!
December 1st, 2008 at 3:50 am
bh808: oh, that sucks about the shopping cart at times. i would have been pretty upset too, that's just inconsiderate on that lady's part.
OL: haha, that's a funny story about the "moke dude" in the restaurant and the plane. can you imagine if he was like that on the plane and everyone had to listen to him in that flying metal canister with wings?
ynaku: HAHAHAHA, nice job on the "shim" spotting! sucks for the two polar bears though!
December 1st, 2008 at 7:14 am
Good Morning BEEhive.
What a nice day today in Hilo. A little dark but not raining (yet).
@bh808 Wassap with dat lady? Who they think you. Da cart boy pushing one stroller?
@OL If the moke kept swearing on da plane, duck your head and yell toward da floor "SHUDDUP!!!" Sit up real quick and look around, make believe you looking around for the voice.
December 1st, 2008 at 7:17 am
MORNING BEEs..........bad morning for me.
Wife is SICK........sick the WHOLE TRIP and now "da boy" is sick waking me up to the sweet melodic sounds of PUKING twice this morning along with a bloody nose.
Wait the WHOLE YEAR to get off the rock and they sick. Bad part was da wife was sick from the moment we left Oahu.
As far as the moke..............with MY LUCK he reads this blog.
OL............wishing for better times
December 1st, 2008 at 7:27 am
Sorry to hear that OL. So gotta play Mr. Mom today?
Aigoo!!!!
December 1st, 2008 at 7:28 am
sheesh, the blog clock almost 25 minutes fast. TIme now 7:00:45
December 1st, 2008 at 7:33 am
YNAKU - Yes.....I think I'll take vacation time for the rest of the day from around 9 a.m. and then play "mommy" to da wife. Gotta make her a doctor appointment, take her to the doctor, pick-up da boy's homework as I already called HIM IN "SICK" for today.
Gotta remember when "life" throws these things at you, to appreciate/recognize when things are going well!
OL........... chauffeur for da sick today
December 1st, 2008 at 7:35 am
Good Morning.
Don't anybody sleep?
@ Scott - Good luck with the baby and the baby classes. What they don't prepare you for at those classes is the "what do we do now" feeling you get when you first take the baby home. Babies don't come with instruction manuals and it's like buying BBDs. You cannot return 'em.
Oh yeah. After the baby goes #2 for the first time (black sticky stuff), the lazy nurses will try to get you to clean it up. Don't do it.... It's like cleaning pine tar. Plus the nurses get paid to do that stuff.
December 1st, 2008 at 7:36 am
Ynaku - I'm STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT the moke's story from yesterday "I take girls fishing on a date.......little do they know it but THEY ARE THE BAIT".
If you can "keep it clean"............do you understand and can EXPLAIN THAT? For the life of me..........I have NO IDEA.
That guy needs to go to "sophistication" school.
OL............amazed got LOSERS like that in the world
December 1st, 2008 at 7:48 am
YNAKU - Never mind. I'm a little more awake and I BEElieve I know now what that idiot meant. Fish "eat" bait.....ergo this guys dates end up likewise?
I'll probably run into this guy in town.
Not sure if I mentioned to Queenie but at Hamura's, the COUNTERS where you eat are just SO ICKY. Saimin soup and other food are on ALL THE COUNTERS and the lady cooking the saimin which is in PLAIN VIEW.....she's just using her BARE HANDS.
OL.................still amazed at the moke guy
December 1st, 2008 at 7:55 am
Because they smell like "tuna"?
I'm trying to picture what kind girls date this guy? Hmmm?
Three teeth (total), tube top, jeans shorts, rubba slippah and "Born 2 Luv" tattooed on her left chichi.
December 1st, 2008 at 7:57 am
OL - Bruddah Moke has a problem. I hope he not dating white girls and plan to use them as shark bait.
moke: "Come Honeygirl, you like ski?"
GF1: "But bruddah moke, what are those fins in the water?"
moke: Oh dem's Dolphins
GF1: "I always wanted to swim with dolphins"
moke: K-den, come, jump in da wata
Shoots, this reminds me of that Mythbuster's episode I just saw. I don;t think I like finish that story. Anybody like finish it? Please jump in (not the water)
"That's as clean as I can muster this morning.
Did you read in the news what our company going through. Chapter 11????? Not feeling too happy about that. How come Howard Dickus get all this news BEEfore us workers???? We heard rumors and stuff, but nothing official until this morning. Conference call with Mr. President at 8. So far they doing what they can to protect the employees. For that I am extremely grateful. We shall overcome this. (praying hard)
Ynaku........... gotta go airport pick up workers from Maui
December 1st, 2008 at 8:10 am
Hey Uku - Guess the UNSOPHISTICATED girls that are OKAY with McDonald's as a "dinner date spot"? A different way of "selecting" potential conquests I guess.
Speaking of "Born 2 Luv" tattoed on the left chi chi, at Hamura's the other night, I was waiting for a "take out" saimin by the left side door....the "take-out" side. In walks the same girl "Born 2 Luv" along with her boyfriend. We're waiting about 15 minutes for SAIMIN.......then this lady "cuts in" in front of them from the side. I look at the girl and mention to her "Wow! She just CUT" and then the girl says "ah....dats okay" and then she RUBS HER BOYFRIEND on the head.........and I'm not talking the head above his shoulders.
Dese country girls.........guess got nutting else ta do ova dea.
OL..........no can live in da country
December 1st, 2008 at 8:36 am
@OL - so did she suck the noodles or bite them?
Da saimin noodles that is.
December 1st, 2008 at 8:40 am
Good Morning Hive!
Back to work today.
Was nice to stay home for a week. I think I need to put in for more vacation soon.
December 1st, 2008 at 8:54 am
Uku.......I didn't stay to "watch her". I was shocked that she "rubbed him" RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME immediately after she made eye contact with me and said "That's okay" (RUBBBBBBBBBBB)
Gotta close up and play chauffeur to the sick in da family.
OL..........who needs some RUBBBBBBBB?
December 1st, 2008 at 8:57 am
@OL - you must BEE some kinda of "weirdo magnet" or something. They all seem to flock to you for some reason.
Sorry to hear about the family. That sucks BEEing sick on vacation, especially away from home.
December 1st, 2008 at 8:59 am
Thanks for all the info. We have a couple more months before the birth, so I'll probably run some more stuff by the HIVE. Ah, Monday Monday. I think I'll take Wed. or Th. off and go see the huge waves on the North Shore, if they develop like the surf report says they will.
December 1st, 2008 at 11:01 am
g'morning hive!
oh man OL.....you shua need some weirdo repellent.
heh heh....
and let me tell you bout dem country girls....
BF - grats man!....on winning the regular season. so your da #1 seed and get a bye? i won this week too....but still couldn't catch da IMB (irritating mama's boy) for our conference champ.
what sucks is that i finished 2nd in my conference while the other conference champ is like 10 league pts behind me!
December 1st, 2008 at 11:35 am
Hey OL, opso is correct, I can tell you stories about girls from Papaikou. And you thought city girls were educated, hee hee. Those baby shoes are about as cute as the gurlz in Hawaii with the fur lined fuzzy hoodies, or tthe guys with their designer hoodies. That's like living in North Dakota and wearing a bikini all the time, I guess looking gangsta and ho is da image for the kids.
And I wonder why no one has started a flap about the term "BLACK Friday", I mean like in instrutors school we were told that words like "flip chart" where not politically correct that's almost as stupid as braille on the drive up ATM's.
December 1st, 2008 at 11:40 am
@opso - Congrats on your win as well! Too bad you couldn't catch IMB. I hate playing against those dumb luck buggahs.
No bye week for me. I gotta go out and pound from next week.
Was kinda funny, cause at the start of the season, the "experts" in our league thought my conference was the weaker one. Turns out pretty much any of the top 4 in my conf. could have taken it with 2 weeks to go.
December 1st, 2008 at 11:41 am
Soooooo
We getting a new post today?
How about an appearance from Queenie?
Hellllllllllloooooooooooo!?!?!
December 1st, 2008 at 11:44 am
Gross looking at the "cee eff emm" shoes for babies. That's just wrong.
wrong wrong wrong.
Hm, I never did tell Queenie what "cee eff emm" was either, huh?
C = Come
F = Well, you know what this is.
M = Me
That's why those shoes are gross.
kumbaya.
Amen.
December 1st, 2008 at 11:46 am
oh geez, I got moderated again!
man! I even spelled it out phonetically so I wouldn't get moderated!!
That's so ODD!
December 1st, 2008 at 11:48 am
BF - no by week for the conference winners? aigoo...
gotta weed out them pretenders you know. heh
and yeah......no new post? and an mia Queenie?
das okay....we go push um to 400!
but not right now....i going lunch first.
December 1st, 2008 at 11:58 am
@opso - I'm pretty sure the conference winners don't get a bye.
Dat's okay, the regular season winner gets, uhm, a special prize.
Now the big one - gotta see how far I can go through the playoffs.
The "gold digger" wants fuud.
December 1st, 2008 at 2:40 pm
Heyo! Can't read all 364 posts, but I just wanted to check in.
December 1st, 2008 at 2:47 pm
No new post from the Queen? I think she just trying to add "padding" to increase her "numbers".
December 1st, 2008 at 3:00 pm
GOOD AFTERNOON QB and BEEHIVES!!!!
soooo BEEZEE today. must be because of the 4 day weekend for most PEEple.
December 1st, 2008 at 3:36 pm
Good afternoon!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
GoodBEEr: Hi there!!! How's it going? Glad you had a chance to pop in. Even happier that you remembered the correct spelling of your name!
BananaFysh: Hellllllllllloooooooooooo back at ya! OH! Those are what CFM shoes are!! Don't think I have any of those in my collection!
Ocean Lover: I don't get why that girl would rub her boyfriend on the head either... And he didn't even bat an eyelash? And I hope your wife and son feel better soon! So you managed to avoid getting sick? Kudos to you!
Ynaku: Hey! That dialogue you did ... isn't my kid's name supposed to BEE Honey Girl??
How would you get your kid to avoid guys like THAT?
Scott: So your kid will BEE born in Hawaii and then you guys are moving?
December 1st, 2008 at 3:41 pm
@Shauna - I bet most of your shoes are like the ones I mentioned. cee eff emm shoes, like the high heeled boots you were talking about doing the limbo in.
Sounds like them to me.
December 1st, 2008 at 3:45 pm
brah!
Under moderation again!!!!!
December 1st, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Ynaku:
The cd is in the mail...
December 1st, 2008 at 3:49 pm
bamboohouse808: Chop chop! You're slacking... And what? The turkey is all gone? Ironically, I came across a scone recipe... Shall I share with you?
M: What four-day weekend? Not for me!
Did you guys decide on what cookies to go with?
Rod's Big Bro: Tell me more about those country girls!!
NEO: Hmm, that's a possibility for our little jingle. It would BEE cool if someone could rewrite some lyrics to make it personalized for the TRIAD...
opso: That mama's boy is still beating you?!?! That totally sucks!! Grr...
BananaFysh: So you're doing good with your fantasy team... My stomach, I mean I couldn't BEE happier for YOU... yeah, that's it.
Ynaku: I'm so sorry to hear about the bankruptcy. We'll be keeping you in our thoughts and hope that everything works out... As the media industry isn't doing too well either, I don't feel that security I once did with my job. It totally sucks cause you don't even know if you'll have your job six months from now.
This type of insecurity comes at a time when my condo maintenance fee is going to go up AGAIN!!! It's just ridiculous how high that monthly fee is. Grrrrrrr...
December 1st, 2008 at 3:56 pm
@Shauna -
MMMMM-hmmmmmm. Suuuuure. You're happy for me, right?
Ulterior motives!
December 1st, 2008 at 4:03 pm
Shauna - No thanks on the scone recipe. I don't make them, I only eat them. Double Yums.
December 1st, 2008 at 4:18 pm
@bamboohouse - eh, you forgot to add, you look at pictures of scones too, when you see nice kine in the cooking magazines too, yeah?
Or on cooking sites on the internet. Get some nice scones around the web too, yeah?
December 1st, 2008 at 4:33 pm
bamboohouse808: You shouldn't pass on them until you at least tried it once...
BananaFysh: We should start an O&E cookbook... Speaking of food, you got a review coming soon? Stop slacking!
anklebiters: Part two is in? I'm assuming you went via e-mail since I didn't see it in the SecretPlace...
December 1st, 2008 at 4:36 pm
shauna:
I thought it went to the S.P. it didn't even get sent last night...I just sent it there.
December 1st, 2008 at 4:36 pm
@anklebiters Wow, thanks eh? I could have taking just the MP3 downloads, but I truly appreciate the gesture. I feel so special and part of the Triad crowd. *sniff sniff*
@Shauna We here for each other. What can we do? We at the company's mercy. Where can I find employment at the rate I getting paid? None here. Told family to start simplify life awhile ago. Gotta prepare for the future.
Sorry gang for not BEEing around. Had to work in the boonies with some guys from Maui.
December 1st, 2008 at 6:11 pm
@Shauna - O&E cookbook? Aren't we getting ahead of ourselves?
What happened to the compilation of blog entries?
Hm, although I WOULD like to see what recipes you submit, BEEsides the honey drizzled scones.

Come with pictures too, yeah?
Wait, gotta taste-test first though.
Shauna's recipes:
Well done steak

Ynaku:
No problemo....glad to do it.
Anyone know where the Oceanic office is in Mililani?
December 1st, 2008 at 11:38 pm
@anklebiters: All I can remember is when you heading toward Wahiawa on the H2 and see the sign for Mililani Tech Park, (I think exit 7) take that exit and stay to the right and the 2nd right. Should be around there. Should also have the American Savings Bank Headquarters around there too. Hope you find it. Sorry I'm from Big Island, but I worked on a building in the area.
According to mapquest, their address is:
Oceanic
200 Akamainui St
Mililani, HI 96789
(808) 625-2100
And thanks again for the CD. Hope you have a safe trip back home. Hope to also meet you IRL one day.
