I know all you non-office workers are snickering at us, thinking we know the true meaning of hard work...
But, who doesn't need a little pampering now and then?
Well, if you're feeling a tad adventurous, willing to pay the price and go abroad, here are some unusual spa treatments dug up by Glamour magazine. Ynaku already mentioned yesterday the one about a face mask filled with bird droppings, but here are some others if bird poo doesn't tickle your fancy...

i would try that beer bath thingie...not really a beer drinker, but it has got to BEE better than the sperm in your hair thing right? ugh, walking around with stiff hair and smelling like clorox...no thank you. back to the beer bath...i wonder if you take a REAL clean bath first, you could sip some of that beer? nah, that'll still BEE kinda gross. and warm. what about the gold foil thing...i wonder if you can keep that gold after? i think most of this stuff is just gimmicks to get people to spend money. but i have to admit, regular facials and back massages from a certified esthetician is like pure nirvana!

OK for my present I like the beer bath. Do the girls come with it? For $40 I can buy about 3 12 pack Heiny lite and that would last me longer than 40 minutes. I usually get a complementary 'mini-facial' when I get my hair cut. Once you get over the self-conciousness, it's real nice. I'm certain though that they're not using anything outrageous...better not.

honda si boy - No, I'm a guy. I've been going for haircuts for years at this place with the same stylist...first went to her when she first started. I suppose some may think it's upscale, but not really...it's in a shopping mall. And I don't pay that much...not even close to the $100 you mentioned. It's just that they offer mini-facials (maybe to regular customers?). At first I declined, but was talked into it once...heck it comes with the haircut. But like I said, once you get over the self-conciousness...it's pretty good. Other guys get it too. Your face gets cleaner than usual. Also, when they wash your hair, you get a scalp massage...now that feels great.

if you get it free and with a good haircut, then it's all good. i think the most important part of going to a haircut place is consistency. so if you go to the same place and get the same person, it's worth pretty much the money you spend to BEE able to say, "howzit, the usual please!" i like that!

I can't imagine rubbing bull jz into my scalp... I mean it's the nutcream of a bovine animal!!! It impregnates other bovine animals!!! I think I would only be willing to try the gold treatment (though, NEO, it does remind me of Goldfinger! Not, uhh... Gold-some-other-thing!). Definitely not the beer bath (don't like the smell of beer!) or the bull you-know-what. ICK! As for the cactus one, I'd think it might be similar to aloe... which has that sticky stinky sap! LONDON - At least someone is excited about "meh."
The expression of indifference or boredom has gained a place in the Collins English Dictionary after generating a surprising amount of enthusiasm among lexicographers.
Publisher HarperCollins announced Monday the word had been chosen from terms suggested by the public for inclusion in the dictionary's 30th anniversary edition, to be published next year.
The origins of "meh" are murky, but the term grew in popularity after being used in a 2001 episode of "The Simpsons" in which Homer suggests a day trip to his children Bart and Lisa.
"They both just reply 'meh' and keep watching TV," said Cormac McKeown, head of content at Collins Dictionaries.
The dictionary defines "meh" as an expression of indifference or boredom, or an adjective meaning mediocre or boring. Examples given by the dictionary include "the Canadian election was so meh."
The dictionary's compilers said the word originated in North America, spread through the Internet and was now entering British spoken English.
"This is a new interjection from the U.S. that seems to have inveigled its way into common speech over here," McKeown said. "Internet forums and e-mail are playing a big part in formalizing the spellings of vocal interjections like these. A couple of other examples would be 'hmm' and 'heh.'
"Meh" was selected by Collins after it asked people to submit words they use in conversation that are not in the dictionary. Other suggestions included jargonaut, a fan of jargon; frenemy, an enemy disguised as a friend; and huggles, a hybrid of hugs and snuggles.

Oh we stopped at Kosmic COnes (the old Dairy Queen on Waianuenue Ave.) I had the Eclipse. 2 scoops, one side Hot Fudge the other Butterscotch. Topped with whipped cream and macadamia nut sprinkles. Little too sweet for me. No Cherry. Dang it!

Yes Mejiro, It's family related. We plan on having some family and in-laws over for a little get together. Sort of an appreciation gathering for all their help. I had some issues last month that sort of discouraged me a bit, but my family supported me through it.
My greatest stress reliever is my Grand daughter. She's 2. Gives her mom hard time. But she's an angel with me.

qb - hanging on really tight to my halo! i can't believe how windy it is!! i bought an acrylic dish drainer at long's today and had a hard time walking with it because it kept catching the wind! and hearing about that tree that fell down at iolani palace made me a little leery of trees when i went home! did you see the car it smashed? thank goodness it wasn't a person... that would have been bad. as it was the passengers had to go to the hospital... hope they are okay!

Queenie - oh yeah.....i talked to her today. unfortunately......they don't really do public appearances. and if they did......it's too short of a notice. they gotta arrange stuff with the venue......like setting up da poles and see if it's structurally okay and if get enough room. plus they charge a fee.
but you can arrange a private demonstration for a group of girls.....kinda like a tupperware party kinda deal.
better yet......she said their having a grand opening at one of their studios on dec. 4th and will have demonstrations every 1/2 hour. you folks can check it out then. if your interested......i'll email you the details later.

I just came back from answering nature's call..........a #1. Was a "regular" call, not too quick....not too long. I washed my hands like one's SUPPOSED TO and then decided that my eyeglasses were a lil smudgy.

I've been working on a separate room the the ladies of the hive to keep harmony amongst us. I have several names which I hope you will consider: Honey Haven (my personal favorite), Chick Chamber (that one came from BF) or the Ladies Lounge. It will be equipped with the latest electronics like the man cave have all the amenities one such as you would want (plus a bidet, sans the urinals). The only thing the King demands is that even if your favorite K-drama is on or Oprah for that matter, UH sports has priority and the hive will unite to cheer on OUR team!

I saw Pulp Fiction when I was in college, down in Waikiki. So awesome. The audience was so into it. I loved the scene when Mia get the shot of adrenaline in the heart. You could hear the collective gasp of the audience when she bolted upright, and then the nervous laughter a few seconds later.
My friend told me that someone had passed out at a different screening during the same scene, and an ambulance came to take them away. MayBEE they needed a shot of adrenaline to the heart as well?

I recall waiting a LONG time for it to come out on video.
My friend had some kind of connection in Japan, and he made me a VHS tape off of a Japanese laserdisc, months BEEfore the US release. MayBEE even a year BEEfore it was released on home video. Was trippy to watch with Japanese subtitles!
I loaned that bad boy out to LOTS of people. I must have watched it at least 30 times before it was released domestically.
